NFT: Ruptured my achilles tendon

jimmypage : 12/15/2014 10:29 am
This sucks. If it wasn't bad enough I was preparing to sit down and watch my two most hated teams play for our division I went and had this happen. Even though Cruz (4yr old daughter) was open in the flat (near bilco door), Eli (me) threw a perfect spiral which was nabbed for 6 by OBJ (my six year old son)open in the back of the end zone (back left corner of basement). I did a Gramatica two steps into celebration (it was NFC championship after all). Sucks getting old I guess and of course there could be worse things.

Don't start many threads, now it is my turn for one of these....guidance or recommendations?

made it back in 4 to 5 months.

You should target OTA's - let Nassib get some work.

So your kids names remain anonymous so you used giants names for them? And you were dancing after you threw a td pass to your kid? Damn, tough recovery very painful injury and surgery is likely needed right?
ugh... feel better

thats a tough injury, my wife ruptured hers a few years back. Make sure you wear a compression sock to avoid possible blood clots
Thanks guys

Surgery seems likely based on what ER doc told me. Getting in to see Ortho soon.
Clarification...

was it your achilles tendon, or the plantaris tendon? If you were jumping into the air, I'm thinking more about the plantaris (it connects to the top of the achilles tendon). I ruptured my Plantaris Tendon in August and it was a real bummer...
how the hell do my guys keep getting hurt??!!!?!

It was more of walking after the jump, i felt a pop and roll up. Definitely feels lower and ER seem certain it was tendon. Either doesn't sound fun.
