sadly my season ended in both my leagues yesterday (thanks to so many people ... from Aaron Rodgers to Keenan Allen to Butt Fumble (2 QB league) to Jordy Nelson to CJ Anderson to Lesean McCoy.... the list of underachievers extends a mile.
Anyhow.... now I find myself not caring even the slightest bit to watch this game tonight, or the game thursday.
But I imagine there are Alshon Jeffrey, Brees, Graham, Ingram, Forte, etc fans out there that will be tuned in. Lots at stake.
RE: RE: This is the appetizer for the BIG game of the season Thursday
Titans at Jacksonville, I don't know how to contain my anticipation
I get that Thursday night games can't all be good ones, but there was never any chance that that match up would even remotely be a good one.
By rule every team in the league must play on thursday at least once in a season. And if I'm not mistaken almost all thursday night games this year were division games, very rarely not (Dallas @ Chicago was one).
Dallas, Chicago, Green Bay & Seattle each had to play 2x... but CHI/DAL was on a full week rest and GB/SEA was the opening game of the season.
Never thought I'd be pacing around and all nerve racked..
I have never seen a Qb outside of Jeff George who has such physical tools and yet is missing so much between the ears. On top of that they both made their own Olinemen dislike them..
The play or lack thereof tonight is a reflection of the diluted NFL product. Maybe it's the lack of OTAs but most players today don't seem to know how to tackle or block. Lots of showboats but totally lacking in basic football skills. 32 teams and garbage on special teams and defense. Only 7 rounds of drafting doesn't translate into to too many great players per team. I bet many of us old guys can name the starters on the Giants of the 1950s and 60s because so many were good.
And the dilution continues with the coaching staffs. Here in Wisconsin we lost a Packer great yesterday - Fuzzy Thurston. You can name the Packer starters from that era too.
Oh long for the glory years and the Packers and Giant championship games.
And it applies to the announcers. Gruden is the only announcer I like today. Give me Ray Scott, Chris Schenkel, Marty Glickman, and Pat Summerall any day.
George Halas must be rolling in his grave over the performance of this Bears team. Abe Gibron and Bobby Douglass were better than this crap team.
My liking of Gruden cause you get pertinent analysis or criticism of the players and coaches. Most of the talking heads today fill up the air time with a bunch of meaningless blather that has nothing to do with the game at hand.
Point yesterday - how did you get the nickname "moose?"
Give Ray Scott. Pass to Dowler....Touchdown! I can see the game visually I don't need to know nonsense details. Did any of yesterday's announcers once tell us that Jennings was injured and out of the game?
I was down 47 points and Brees, Forte and Stills got it all back for me and put me just ahead by a point. Should be enough barring some bizarre turnover fest and no more gains.
Cutler is holding this Bears offense back. Not saying that the Bears offense is a powerhouse, but it has enough talent to do something. With Cutler, it hasnt done anything in awhile.

Graham is pissing me off. He's the Rueben Randle of TE's.

Thanks!
I worked yesterday, so I missed the entire game.
I do not see PF working that hard.

LOL.. some people on this board are so bizarre.
It makes such little sense that it almost seemed inevitable.
I'm all for busting cutler's balls but this is kinda unprofessional. Of course this is grudent we're talking about..
