Yeah, we end the year on a pretty easy schedule, but have a tougher January with the California trip. We're playing better of late, particularly McDonagh and Staal.
Don't let them breathe. Can't let the Flames think they have a shot at ending their losing streak. Nothing lets the air out of a struggling team more than knocking them down early.
They looked slow and uninterested in Edmonton, but playing a horrendous team will do that. Calgary's warts are beginning to show after a hot start, but they can't be taken lightly. I'd also expect to see Henrik in net tonight. With a 9pm start I may actually get to see the whole game tonight. ;)
This team does have a shot at being special, when they play a good game they seem to be able to beat anyone this season. I have been a Ranger fan since the 1966 season and I have never seen the Rangers with so many good young players, I have to admit that Sather took time, but he has built a very good team and organization. I have had my share of criticism toward Sather, hopefully I was all wrong. They are a very well rounded team now, they have good forwards, good defensemen, and good goaltending and they can beat you in many ways now. I am hoping that they can now take off from here also. I love what JT Miller and Kevin Hayes have added to this team, some size and skill to go along with Nash and Kreider. If they can get through these next three games, today and this weekend, then Brassard should be ready to return.
With Lundqvist, McD and Staal playing better and our offense being the best it's been in years, this team can be special.
Brassard apparently hasn't even been 'confirmed' with the mumps. They'll know by the end of the week, so he may be looking at a return next week against the Devils.
chances. He has all the tools to be a plus defenseman, but just isn't very good. I don't know why that is, and he's still young enough to turn himself around with someone else, but his time on Broadway is drawing to a close.

sustained offensively, didn't have the puck much, turnovers, odd man rushes, not winning board battles. That's what I saw, didn't play a very good period. No matter though, I'll take the two goal lead.
