It makes no fucking sense. My dad is complaining about it all the time. The games are on a decent amount, but for some stupid reason the sabres get priority over the rangers. Despite the fact that Albany is about two hours from NYC and five from buffalo. But since we are in the local market as long as the sabres aren't playing, centre ice won't show the rangers. It's been this way for like five season now. I get to see more rangers games after moving to ohio than I did living in NY.
1) Make sure you have AdBlock Plus installed
2) Go to FirstRowSports.LI and navigate to the Rangers game
3) Choose link 5 or 6.. they always seem to be the most reliable.
Great way to watch online for free. As long as your Internet is reliable the stream should be good, too.
AdBlock Plus is a plugin. You download it and there is literally nothing else to do. The entire process should take less than 60 seconds. It's a pain free experience and automatically is added into your browser.
I'll tell my dad that and I appreciate it, but I have a feeling I might as well be speaking Chinese to him when I start talking about streaming games.
I hear that, and it's definitely something that would be difficult to explain to someone without any computer acumen.
That said, it's also simple enough where if you run it through him once in person I don't think even a novice would have a hard time being good to go from there.
That sequence with the Flames ringing the iron and nearly potting one turning into the clear, the good pass from MSL and the great drive/wraparoud by Stepan...it was fun to watch. Also, Nash is on another level right now for you. Henrik has looked good tonight as wellm
looking forward to the home & home with Carolina. No reason why this team shouldn't be on a 6 game winning streak with Washington coming to town in what will be an important midseason game.
Glad to see Kreider score. McDonagh is looking good.
Can we just buy B Center Ice?
It gets blacked out up here for Rangers games. The fuckin guide says it's supposed to be on. But the cum dumpsters from Buffalo are on instead.
How the fuck does that work? It should be on Center Ice if it's not locally available.
Nah man. It says it's on but it's not.
Albany gets bumped for Sabres games every time.
Do you complain about it to your cable company? That's bullshit.
Upstate NY (and western MA) is, bizarrely, the worst place on Earth to watch the Rangers. Once I moved to Boston I just bought the Gamecenter Live package and watch it on my laptop or on my TV via HDMI output. Somehow the Sabres and MSG just cut a deal wherein anything north of Westchester County is only gets to see 50 Rangers' regular season games per year. There used to be a schedule on the MSG website showing which games would air upstate and which would be blacked out, but I can't seem to find it. The shitty thing is that you can't even get around the blackout with Center Ice or Gamecenter Live. I really wish the league would get rid of these stupid blackout policies and let fans watch the games they want to see.
Sather didn't take the advice of half of BBI and trade him for a bag of pucks in the off-season
Can you name one person who wanted to trade him or are you just making shit up as usual?
Is there some sort of Brett - Mook riff that I didnt know about? Fun!! But seriously, you're both good dudes so chill.
And Brett I do think there was a contingent that wanted to trade Nash in the offseason, he takes up a lot of cap space and he couldnt have come up smaller in the postseason if he'd tried -- with that said i agree with you that no one here "wanted a bag of pucks for him" That's hyperbole.
We're going to have to trade for a 3rd/4th line C at the deadline, i think, to improve our penalty killing, face-offs and puck control. But with that said, I do agree with Davidson that Miller and Hayes have been improving every week so i guess play it by ear.
Our PP has not been good, but Boyle is a big part of that and he's missed so much of the season so we'll see how it goes with our key guys back in place.
Important to finish the year strong because as you've noted, January's schedule is brutal.
Our Corsi numbers still suck. Flames had 62/38 in the third - makes sense given the lead, but we're still in the bottom third of CF%.
And we're now the 4th highest scoring team in the league.
Don't pay too much attention to the overall Corsi last night - the Rangers were ahead at 5-on-5 right up until they took a 4-goal lead. After that, it's irrelevant.
I think our PK will improve with McDonagh looking a lot better.
I do think a 3C like that would be a nice addition even though I really like Hayes. I wanted Ott in the off-season, but that didn't happen. Hayes may be fine, and I'm not sure if the tradeoff of having lesser player that does a couple of things well fill his spot is worth it.
I think the Hurricanes are top ten in Corsi, though. It's not a perfect statistic, obviously.
Every game the rest of the year is winnable. We're good enough that every game is winnable, but we have some tough games from January 7th to January 29th (and we have two three games in four nights during that stretch, all of which are road games).
Hayes playing regularly where he is now will pay dividends later on. He's doing a lot of good things and will keep getting better.
Our C depth when we're healthy is fine, it's hard to find a legit 1C. It's just that we can't afford any LT injuries. When Step, Brass, Hayes or Moore are out we really don't have much to fill the spaces with. Especially in the top 6 and I don't like putting Miller in the middle if we can avoid it.
We've done a great job of getting higher quality scoring chances this year than in years past (particularly last year when our Corsi numbers were great). We haven't been as good at dominating the puck down low so far this year. We've done a solid job creating odd man rushes.
Good point on Hayes - the Kings (ugh) benefited from giving young guys big roles early on in the year, and they came through in the playoffs for them. Giving guys like Hayes and Miller a lot of time is huge, and is why I wish we played Duclair a bit more. If guys start falling later in the year, we'll need that depth.
Agree. We are kind of in a tough spot with Duclair. I don't think he has anything left to learn in Jr's (but I am glad he's playing in the worlds just so he can actually play) and I want to keep him up here but it's difficult to find top 9 minutes for him. Especially with the emergence of Miller.
When Brass gets back it'll be hard enough to swing Miller back over to wing. I'd scratch Glass and push Stemp down to the 4th line or just scratch Stempniak (though I do think Stemp has played decently)
I'm just not sure where we can squeeze Duclair in anywhere on the top 9 barring injury. It's going to be a difficult decision. I'd prefer to keep him up here but not at the cost of him sitting in the press box 4 out of every 5 nights.
I wake up this morning primed to watch the last two periods only to find that they were playing a Marquette basketball game. Marquette? Aren't they in Wisconsin? No Rangers? Still? WHAT THE FUCK? Ok, ok...shake it off B.
Fine. I'll grab some breaky, answer some emails, get my daughter up, watch some Bubble Guppies while she snacks on some breakfast muffins. Everything is fine...
At about 9a i notice that "Rangers in 60" is coming up next on MSG+. Sweet! My daughter will be on her way to grandmas house and i'll relax and watch the game for an hour while getting some work done. Nice little morning i have carved out for myself.
45 minutes later i'm running up and down the fucking street in my neighborhood chasing my two asshole fuck ass dogs who ran out of the house when grandma came to pick up the kid. I'm in flip flops, shorts and a goddamned tee shirt yelling and screaming like a lunatic chasing these two jagoffs. I can see them laughing at me while gently frolicking in the snow knowing full-well that i'm not about to run through the goddamn snow in flip flops. Assholes.
I finally run back in the house, grab my car and find them shitting in some neighbors yard about a 1/4 mile away. I scoop them up, drag them back to the house, check out the clock, and it's 9:57. Goddamnit!
I run back up the street like OJ in a Hertz commercial, jump in my ride and fishtail it back to my house. 10am. Just in time for the game! I made it!
A couple of nasty words and screaming at the two four-legged cockbags and i'm on the couch dialing up MSG+.
"WELCOME TO THE HALFTIME SHOW!!! THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!! PRESENTED BY PIZZA HUT! BACK IN A MOMENT WITH THE SECOND HALF."
By the time he's done at the WJC, his team in Quebec will have something like 25 games left, plus playoffs. There's really nothing to gain from him being there, and the Rangers wouldn't be able to get him back if they need him to fill-in during the regular season or early in the playoffs.

2nd line really needed an even strength goal
We are heating up. Almost the same exact time as we did last year, too.

Just had flash backs to that balding mullet, Al Iafrate.
Nice trip which can be even better if they can take care of business in Cackalacky.
And even Glass fought! I mean at first he didn't want to...and it took him like 10 seconds after the hit on JT for him to do something, but he acted!

He looks a completely different player from last year.
From HF: We are now 4th in goal scoring at 3.03 per game, higher than Chicago, and 5th in GF/GA at 5 on 5.

It's a good problem to have.
