How fortunate are the Seahawks this weekend?

SanFranGiantsFan : 12/16/2014 4:42 pm
Arizona will be starting Ryan Lindley at quarterback. And if you've seen Lindley play, nothing else to add.
Wouldn't take anything for granted

How many times have the Giants lost to a back-up QB??
Lindley is horrible.
Exit 172 : 12/16/2014 4:49 pm : link
Think Tyler Palko for the Chiefs, only worse.

And the Cardinals have been banged up at running back, too, this season. I think Stepfan Taylor and Kerwynn Williams will be carrying the rock for the Cardinals this weekend.
the cards are good enough to win with garbage at QB

but beating Seattle without your full lineup is tough. Seattle is clicking again. I don't think anyone beats them and that includes big bad Aaron Rodgers.

Didn't he play against the Jets a couple of years ago? That game set football back 50 years IIRC.
they aren't winning that game

unless Wilson decides to have the worst game of his career. Its possible, but extremely unlikely.

Like last year?? AMIRITE!?
the Cards are going to get shut out with Lindley

The Seahawks defense is firing on all cylinders. They probably won't score much either, but they won't need to. 16-0, something like that.

Arians has done a remarkable job in Arizona.

Look how injuries have piled up and they're still winning games. Backup QB's, injuries to their best RB, dinged up at WR, several key defensive players have missed most of the year. Still up to ten wins.
the Giants lose to backup QBs all the time
YAJ2112 : 12/16/2014 4:57 pm : link
except when they are by beating them in meaningless games to make a terrible team look deceivingly not as awful.

The Cards DST is going to need to score at least 1 TD to give them a chance.

I don't think GB defense is good enough. I think NE or Den can give Seattle a game though.

Disclaimer: I thought Denver would at least keep things close last year...
Seattle is the team to beat
blapre74 : 12/16/2014 5:12 pm : link
They have an incredible defense. NE? NE is playing great football, but they find a way to lose the big game. Denver has the best chance, which is slim to none :)
After a slow start

Seattle may be playing like the best team in the league again. Lindley is awful which tells you where Logan Thomas is at this point in time. A low scoring game, but Seattle should win.
Logan Thomas is not an NFL quarterback
Greg from LI : 12/16/2014 5:20 pm : link
Hell, he wasn't even a good NCAA quarterback. He's a great athlete who's a bitch to bring down in the open field who can't throw accurately or read coverage to save his life. He's basically Black Tebow.
The lack of respect for Ryan Lindley is shocking.
Big Blue Blogger : 12/16/2014 5:27 pm : link
He's amazing...
...ly bad - ( New Window )
He puts on an absolute clinic...
Big Blue Blogger : 12/16/2014 5:28 pm : link
...in how to stare down a receiver.
This is awesome. - ( New Window )
I just hope the Cardinals salvage a win in San Francisco in Week 17.
Big Blue Blogger : 12/16/2014 5:30 pm : link
Then the Eagles or Cowboys can miss the playoffs at 11-5.

I watched that game, that might have been the worst NFL game ever played, and most definately worst QB performance by both teams ever played.
Actually, I think the Cards hold the tiebreaker over DAL and PHI.
Big Blue Blogger : 12/16/2014 5:34 pm : link
Head-to-head win in Dallas.
Better conference record than Philly, even with losses to SEA and SFO.

I guess that's why they have already clinched a playoff berth.
Cards

Called Tim tebow
IMO, the Cards were on borrowed time
Giants2012 : 12/16/2014 5:46 pm : link
once Palmer went down.

Hawks appear to be bringing it together at the right time.
Cards are snakebit
bluepepper : 12/16/2014 6:20 pm : link
10 wins and no playoffs last year. On track for No. 1 seed this season and lose not just their starting QB but their backup. They have no chance to win this weekend or in the playoffs with Lindley. Will be done wildcard weekend.

Agreed. AZ lost DT Donnett (sp?) and QB Palmer and well you can't over come all that for an entire season. Don't get me wrong, Donnett was lost in camp and they came out of the gates strong but man would they be tough with him as well. Alas, this is football and it isn't the most talented team that wins the SB more often than not but the hottest/healthiest one.

There was a good article on PFF about Darnell not being that important to the defense... I guess they were right.. The defense still kicks ass.. Also I don't know how good Palmer really is.. He is still way better than the garbage they are putting out there now.. I think the biggest thing that has hurt them is Ellington's injury.. He has been injured all year and is one of the best RB in the game..
