Rams not only have extra time, but no injuries...

Eric from BBI : Admin : 12/17/2014 6:39 pm
No one on their injury report.

Sunday is going to be UGLY.

On the front seven they are.

BigBlueShock : 12/17/2014 6:41 pm : link
I know this year has sucked, but reading BBI, you'd think the Rams were threatening the '72 Dolphins record.
They just lost and were just eliminated from the playoffs
BillT : 12/17/2014 6:42 pm : link
Might be a down week for a previously playoff hopeful team. Their offense is mediocre. Their defense is killer. We'll see.
rams
kepler20 : 12/17/2014 6:42 pm : link
have a great defense

this game has 10-3 written all over it.
We don't have very many on the injured report either...
speedywheels : 12/17/2014 6:42 pm : link
Of course, they are on IR instead...
"no injuries"
Deej : 12/17/2014 6:43 pm : link
They have guys on IR. I guess you could say the guys they still have are healthy though.
I'm fully aware of the Rams defense..
arcarsenal : 12/17/2014 6:43 pm : link
I also know that Shaun Hill is their QB and their offense sucks.
Tre Mason's pretty good

is dangerous in the return game, he's utterly useless on offense. 28 receptions for 214 yards and 0 TDs on the season. Meh...

The Raiders beat the 49ers, too.
arcarsenal : 12/17/2014 7:45 pm : link
I don't know how much of an accomplishment that is right now.

The Rams are a 6-8 team. They may well beat us. I doubt it'll be "ugly"...

Again, their QB is an old journeyman who isn't very good. They're in the bottom 3rd of the league offensively and for as much as their defense gets touted, they're still outside the top 10 in both points and yards.
They also lost to the Vikings
speedywheels : 12/17/2014 7:50 pm : link
and a Ryan lindley led AZ team. They also eeked out a 2 point win vs TB.

They have a terrific defense, but it's not like they are an offensive juggernaut.
They split against SF
speedywheels : 12/17/2014 7:51 pm : link
They very well may lose, but it shouldn't be this massive blowout.
Yeah...I think Austin is trending towards
BSIMatt : 12/17/2014 8:25 pm : link
bust status. Stedman Bailey has been their top WR in recent weeks.
i have a hard time seeing sunday
hitdog42 : 12/17/2014 8:32 pm : link
as being ugly.
the rams offense is not good.
the giants will stack the box and DRC is playing... and we have guys hustling to the ball on D.
offensively we have been producing without a running game.. so the absence of one again wont hurt too badly. our passing game is uptempo- that should negate some pass rush.
i think we win.
I agree
jtfuoco : 12/17/2014 8:38 pm : link
With Eric with our OL this could get real ugly for our offense I don't think it will be a blow out due to STL offense is so poor as well but I think some here have been taking too much stock with this team and who they have played the last few weeks.
Can someone
Randy in CT : 12/17/2014 8:40 pm : link
help Eric adjust his skirt?
We've all witnessed
Stufftherun : 12/17/2014 8:51 pm : link
the issues the OLine had had with stunting and blitzing - this could be very ugly for the likes of Walton and Jelly Roll Jerry. Just hope Eli is upright and walking off the field at the final whistle.
The rams suck balls
djm : 12/17/2014 9:00 pm : link
They just look good doing it. Defensively they are very good but the rest of the team sucks. Fuck them and fuck Jeff fisher and his scumbag teaching tactics while we are at it.

I can all but guarantee that he giants will be victimized by some dirty shit this Sunday. This game will probably be very very chippy. Fisher is an overrated prick of a head coach. Wake me when he wins 9 games in a season.
Can't wait to ignore Eric's preview
Headhunter : 12/17/2014 9:12 pm : link
bet it is going to make grown men weep.
I'd say this is a max protect game, however,
Simms11 : 12/17/2014 9:16 pm : link
Our TES and backs suck at blocking too!
we'll see same shit we saw
Simms11 : 12/17/2014 9:19 pm : link
In Jax IMO.
welp better not play then
B in ALB : 12/17/2014 9:28 pm : link

And the Giants definitely shouldn't play Beckham or Eli.

Or maybe it's time to hike up your skirt and grab your balls before they disappear.

The Giants are coming off two wins against shit competition and I'm excited to see them perform with the opening day OL again on a fast indoor track.

"Sunday is going to be ugly"
j_rud : 12/17/2014 9:54 pm : link
We're talking about a 5-9 team that specializes in ugly, that has a remarkable, almost uncanny ability to shoot itself in the foot. No consistency on the OL, garbage at RB, a new offense that, no doubt aided by the aforementioned personnel issues, has never quite taken hold. I don't even want to talk about the defend or the regularly overmatched coaching staff. Who else wanted Sunday to vomit when Kenny Albert said Preston Parkers 46 yard return, giving the Giants the ball at the 42/43 was the best starting field position the return game had given the O all year?

If you've been watching all season how can you turn the game on Sunday and expect anything but ugly? When I watch now I pretty much focus on 3 players: Beckham, Hankins, and Kennard. They're the only even ones worth watching.
Imagine if a regular poster made this thread?

It's FEK. You actually expected him to show some intelligence?
If the Cardinals even had a competent QB last week...
RC02XX : 12/17/2014 10:15 pm : link
The Rams would have lost by a ton of points.

I think Beckham lights up that defense.

BSIMatt : 12/17/2014 10:29 pm : link
Their skill position players are far from awesome.

With a QB they would still in the playoffs. They don't fantasy players so fly under the radar. Look at the OL and defensive team. Tough to find many much better.

Watch, we will end up winning this game
montanagiant : 12/18/2014 12:33 am : link
The O-line will do fine and we will not only score once, but a few times.

This is the perfect game for the Giants
English Alaister : 12/18/2014 5:22 am : link
Time to find out if this team (especially offensively) is improving or the last 3 weeks were just taking advantage (if only for one half vs Jax) of three of the worst five teams in the league.

It is a very good thing that the management go into the off-season remembering what we look like against a pair of capable teams. It also lets us see what Wynn, Bromley, Kennard and co look like against good O-lines.
...
SanFranGiantsFan : 12/18/2014 6:46 am : link
I'm not confident of a win, but as others have said, the Rams aren't some powerhouse. Gun to head, I'll go with Rams 17 Giants 13.

Terrible?

Uh..no.

Their defense is good. Particularly their front. They're not quite as good as Detroit, Arizona, Seattle or Buffalo but they're pretty good and absolutely not "terrible".. you probably haven't seen any Rams games if you believe that.

They just don't scare me because Sb
Post got cut off...
arcarsenal : 12/18/2014 8:09 am : link
Meant to say they don't scare me because Shaun Hill is their QB and they're not particularly dangerous at all on the other side of the ball. I don't think they'll put up many points on us.
