good game so far, didn't expect this good of defense so far. Despite the stupid fouls we are commuting we are in it. We need the 3s to fall soon though...
by mid season. My fear is racking up 7 or 8 early losses. We don't play in a good enough conference to get in the dance with much more than 11 or so losses.
should have been the other way around too greg. Bad officiating.
Uconn needs some more pieces unfortunately. Brimah getting into early foul trouble screwed them. But they seriously need a Big on their team, they lack size, although make up for it with speed. They also need a consistant outside shooter. The days of Lamb, Napier, and Giffey are done, someone needs to step up.
Boatright always reminded me of Kemba lite. speedy, shifty, plays his heart out all the time. He can carry the team, but he needs contributors around him. I like Hamilton a lot, I think he will develop into a fine young player. Hopefully he and Brimah step up their games next year and they can build this team sort of in the mold of the 2009(?) team; Brimah being the Thabeet type center.
has improved drastically and defends the paint well when guards penetrate but he cannot body up a big man with decent or better moves. I can't hate him for it, he hasn't been playing long and I applaud his positive attitude and work ethic.
I'd love another Jeff Adrien. Someone who can handle post up moves with great footwork and can get those dirty rebounds. With our perimeter play we don't need an amazing center, just need someone who can keep us from getting pounded on the glass.
we had some really dumb ones. Stupid hacks that allowed and-1's and too many that came before they even crossed half court.
Wish the refs eased up a bit in the 2nd half though, a few down the stretch were very iffy and we didn't get the benefit of any of them that I can remember.
We likely lose either way, happy to see it was close, however.
had some weight on him I don't think it would be an issue with guarding big guys. He's just very skinny for a C that size, and very lanky, he draws fouls at ease. I love his blocking however, reminds me of Thabeet a little. He has improved his game quite a bit from last year, He, Hamilton, and Cassel are the building blocks for the future.
the player landed on Samuel's ankle. It looked pretty bad. Hopefully just a bad sprain, but he was clearly in a lot of pain. I wouldn't expect him back anytime soon.
Thanks for your kind thoughts..!!

explodes into a billion pieces tonight.

You're welcome. I just a bitter Cuse fan.
Agreed...Phil sent me here to scout him..
I really hope Ollie can land a decent big soon.
UConn got hosed with foul calls down the stretch. Continuously took away momentum. Poorly officiated game all around.
