Was last week's game the best Special Teams' performance

of Quinn's Giants career?

1 recovered onside kick.
2 punts downed inside the 5 yard line.
1 Kickoff return for 45 yards.
1 Punt return for 15 yards.
All FGs & Extra points converted.

No long returns for Washington.

Maybe he's going out with a blaze of glory?

the kickoff that went out of bounds and the fumbled punt and the bad line drive punt.

Not that any of it was due to coaching but I wouldn't hold this one up as the best.

Quinn's specials have had some big games like being a huge part of winning the NFC championship against the niners.

I looked at our punt coverage team across the board last week and it actually had some decent athleticism. Kiwi has been a mainstay of the coverage teams. It's great to pile on to Kiwi but having a 30 something years old (now) defensive lineman who logs a lot of snaps to run under punts is not a good idea. I've also seen people like Madison Hedgecock on the punt coverage time.

Bottom line is that we haven't had a solid roster from top to bottom for awhile. The fringe players are key components of good specials.

That said, 4 years later I still find it inexcusable that we didn't have whereabout to play for an onside kick against the Eagles when they were down by multiple scores.
