"The recent hack into Sony Pictures' servers revealed the studio's plans to collaborate with Marvel for a third sequel to "The Amazing Spider-Man." Likewise, it also detailed the possibility of the superhero making an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War." These plans may seem uncertain, but according to a latest report, studio execs are already planning a meeting to discuss the sequel.
A source told Screengonzo that Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige will meet in January to discuss the future of "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU. The said meeting will reportedly take place at Pinewood Studios, where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War" are believed to have been filming. No further details were provided, but sources said some "good news" will be revealed sometime in February. Likewise, Feige is said to be pleased with where his deal with Sony Pictures is headed."
