Went nuts when they kept Wynn on the 53 over the UDFA DT from South Carolina. I can't even remember that guys name now. and Wynn has shown enough to be on this roster and play.
You want everyone to believe that Coughlin has something against playing the best man, yet the facts show that guys play when they're ready regardless of seniority.
First it was no rookies (never been true). Then it was everyone's favorite backup offensive linemen (Brewer and Mosley are maybe the worst OL to ever suit up for the Giants).
Now you want to take pot shots because a rookie UDFA made a few plays against the Rams offense? He should have been starting from day one because it's clicking for him in Week 16? Can't you just enjoy his performance without trying to place your judgement of personnel over a HOF coach?
Wynn got his chance, did well really well in some highlite
I didn't say I want him starting on day 1 but if kiwi and the d line is failing game after game then give someone else some playing time. The reps have definitely helped this kids game.
We don't know what could of happened in that Dallas game if Moore or Wynn were in there over kiwi for a play or two. Maybe romo does not have 9 seconds to throw with Wynn motor.
The complaining about Rookie Reps is just STUPID .
If he keeps playing and Improves he sure helps the
Depth and maybe Influences the need to Reach at the
Position . And I don't mean in the 1st round
say if there in round three and a DE or Safety
are dead even we go Safety .
He plays bigger than he looks .

The last series of that game was a substitution (or lack of) shitshow. But I don't see that instance as loyalty to Kiwi as much as it was Perry caught standing around with his dick in his hand.
I agree the reps are great for this kid, especially with the season lost. But we've seen that there's a lot more to playing DE than pressuring the quarterback: gap responsibility, beating run blocks, etc.
I don't think the plan was for Kiwi to be the starter. I believe management and coaches wanted Moore to take the next step, but he's obviously not a complete player yet. Kiwi has never been a flashy player, but he's done a lot of dirty work in the trenches for this team and has usually been solid against the run.
I mean, Kiwi hasn't been a starter and he all of a sudden is this year? I don't think that was the ideal plan or some kind of veteran "thank you." Nobody beat him out.
has to be the football-smarts brightest d-lineman I have seen since I have been watching the Giants. I think he has good, not great athleticism but he did beat the ROT 3 consecutive times to the cut-off angle during a series in the second half. Kind of like George Martin, I would say. Stronger than he looks. Definite wave contributor, maybe more.

A-freaking-men. When Tuck was healthy in 2008-2010, he played nearly perfect fundamental football and yes he had more physical ability but it makes such a difference at DE. He never takes a bad angle, he stays home, reads plays and has a nose for the ball, which is not taught. He just has a great football IQ. I'm very excited about him for next year, he has a chance to be a pretty good DE.
He can absolutely start at LDE. Use Moore as your wild card pass rusher on 3rd downs, let Wynn lock down the running downs, I think he's got the potential to be a good starter.
I'd like to see him improve his speed and explosiveness. Not that he is a slow player, but if he could improve in those two areas, he could be way more than just a rotational player.
Of course, that opinion is based on limited observations.
He has mediocre atheleticism by the standards of NFL DEs, but has decent size and plays with a ton of field awareness, like RetroJints pointed out.
Little burst out of his stance and takes time to get moving, which is probably why he went undrafted. Looks like he should put on weight and then can be a valuable rotational player, especially but not just on run downs.
I'm really interested in seeing him play some more next week.
Yep, that's why Beckham, Williams, and Richburg didn't play at all this year.
TC is loyal to his vets which is fine but in this case it's not.
Quote:
TC definitely sticks with his vets too long.

Oh yea Richburg, right. OL was so strong for us it's amazing he got Pt.
Obnoxious people always come through when a statement is made.

Can you grasp the distinction between "not playing rookies" and "sticking with vets too long"?
Williams played because Jennings went down with an injury. That is the same reason Wynn is now getting a chance because Kiwi is down.
If Jennings and Kiwi had been healthy all year, neither would have played much.
Good question... TBD

Don't know about yesterday, but Bromley's played the last few games. I think he got the 3rd most snaps for DTs last week behind Hankins/Jenkins.
And look at Quarles's 2014 stats ...
