Stan from LA : 12/21/2014 8:25 pm : link
This is the way he's looked all year. I've been telling you to watch his games and now you see for yourselves...
Looks to me he benefits from Long and Quinn
Headhunter : 12/21/2014 8:30 pm : link
when they get pressure. On running plays he was pushe in whichever direction or Walton took him
Richburg or Walton

.
That was my pick
geemanfan : 12/21/2014 8:51 pm : link
But I didn't cry over it when we picked Odell. Now it looks like we might have gotten the best player in the draft.
I wanted DT Donald
SGMen : 12/21/2014 8:53 pm : link
no doubt I did but no way anyone knew Beckham was going to be this good this fast.
yeah -where are all the Donald is god
gidiefor : Mod : 12/21/2014 9:22 pm : link
posters now???
You might
geemanfan : 12/21/2014 9:33 pm : link
Have to start the Martin who thread. I heard his name more then anyone in those first 4 games that Odell missed. I even heard the word bust being thrown around because of a hamstring.
we played Donald's team today
gidiefor : Mod : 12/21/2014 10:13 pm : link
so I am focused on him right now : )
DId he play today?
AnishPatel : 12/21/2014 10:14 pm : link
I don't think I heard his name at all.

I am not surprised though. We handled JJ Watt when we played the Texans too.
Donald got manhandled by Richburg and Walton
Mason : 12/21/2014 10:17 pm : link
Mostly Richburg though. Those reports of Richburg owning him in the senior bowl appear to be very accurate. On that Williams big run, Richburg just crushed him.
Where's bigbluecane to stomp his feet
David in LA : 12/21/2014 10:21 pm : link
about how we made a huge mistake passing up Martin for an 'overrated wr'.
His stats
montanagiant : 12/22/2014 1:46 am : link
0 tackles
0 assists
0 sacks
He did have
Headhunter : 12/22/2014 7:35 am : link
cheap shots-1
Now this is the thread I have been waiting for
Jimmy Googs : 12/22/2014 8:33 am : link
Since March.

Not that Donald isn't a good rookie but those pre-draft comments from his fan club were over the top
I was one of those beating the drum for Aaron Donald.
cosmicj : 12/22/2014 9:01 am : link
I was wrong. I'm happy to admit it.
Throw in Martins name too
Spock : 12/22/2014 9:24 am : link
Many, including me, wanted this big OL monster, and he is quite good too.
forgot he was even on the Rams
GIANTSr01 : 12/22/2014 9:34 am : link
until I saw the daily Beckham thread afterwards.

At this point though, I'm not sure you're taking anybody over Beckham from this past class.
here is a speed cooking tip for a busy parent
alligatorpie : 12/22/2014 9:45 am : link
we said; "he is small, get a helmet in his face and push him out of the play" "run at him" pre-draft.

I like what The Hank and The Jenk did Sunday. and The Winn (Wynn?)
holy crap autocorrect
alligatorpie : 12/22/2014 9:45 am : link
hahahaha,
I guess he has a quick first step and will beat Guard/Center's
Headhunter : 12/22/2014 9:49 am : link
occasionally especially if they pull and leave him in space for a second. However, you put a helmet on him and you ride him anywhere you want
Both Martin and Donald have performed well, even better than expected
regulator : 12/22/2014 9:53 am : link
as rookies, but if the 2014 draft was done over again, the consensus is that Beckham is #1 overall. I don't see any other rookie having this kind of impact.
I also wanted Donald
mrvax : 12/22/2014 9:54 am : link
because he looked like a great playmaker and the Giants needed one. I've never criticized the Giants for taking Beckham. I saw his college tapes and figured he'd be very good. No one, not me, you, or the Giants staff saw this coming.

Good scouting + luck = Beckham.
