The Offensive Line since Pugh returned has stabilized

Headhunter : 12/21/2014 8:08 pm
When you gain over 500 yard that is impressive. They have kept ELi pretty clean and Williams has had 2 100 yard games in the last 3 weeks. I would like Ricburgh who owned Donald to replace Walton and get 2 Guards 1 could be a healthy Schwartz plus a draft pick or free agent.
The real question

Is how long was Pugh really hurt for? I think I've was hurt earlier in the year. He is much better since he returned from injury.
They went toe to toe with a legit Dline

and came out on top.
I'll have a thread on it

later to piggyback on my earlier Offensive Line thread from a couple weeks ago. But yes- completely agree. Third straight game with the starting o line in there is showing.
OL overall had a good game

IIRC Richburg was the only one how could handle Donald during Senior Bowl practice.
I'm glad all of you

Got to watch Donald GET OWNED today. It's been like that all year so all that crazy praise he's been getting is strange to say the least.
Unfortunately

Beatty is still a question mark for me
Beatty was up against their best lineman

A few penalties from him but at least he kept them off Eli.
Get Schwartz back,
section125 : 12/21/2014 8:54 pm : link
move Richburg to center and pick up a good LG and maybe they'll be able to run, too.
By the way,
Doomster : 12/21/2014 10:52 pm : link

What the fuck are you saying. I doubt you have seen Donald more than just yesterday. There's a reason he's been graded out as a top DT this season. It isn't just fluff

Beatty was fine. One hold was really on Walton (according to Diehl) but the drunk Morelli mixed up the numbers and the 2nd hold they called on him (only 1 showed on replay) was borderline at best. Looked to me like Quinn stumbled and Beatty rode him to the ground.

The other 2 holds they didn't show on replay and outside of that, Quinn was barely mentioned.
someone made the point here last month

that, at this point, you add one really great pro-bowl level player to this line, rather than spamming a pile of injured vets or journeymen.

maybe one high pick and one mackenzie level free agent.

and - you might have to be open as to what spot to do that (those) at.
haha, yes, and the The Donald thing

someone ought to post some of those never ending 'the donald' threads today.

or...list the BBI ranks for and against at the time.
On the second hold

Beatty was clearly holding his opponent's shoulder pads. You can get away with that as long as the player remains in front of you, but if the player goes to ground, as in this case, any sort of holding, tugging or pulling will draw the call. It almost seems, based on other similar calls I've seen, that there's a presumption by officials that if the defender goes to ground then the OL must have held him.
