10th in Yards (3,981)
9th in TD's (29)
Yet he is 15th in passing attempts per game
Plus his TD/Int ratio is a very respectable 29/13, right in the same ballpark as Brees, Luck, and Ryan. Behind Peyton, Big Ben, and Rodgers. Without the SF debacle he would have been right with the top guys.
I consider this a very good year considering the lack of quality play by the OL, the lack of a running game, Cruz being hurt, and the defense giving him less chances because they don't get off the field (as shown by his being 15th in the league in attempts.
Its clear that Eli is a top 10 QB and a franchise guy. It will be very hard to replace him. The only teams I remember being able to go from one top-flight QB to another are the 49ers (Montana to Young) and GB (Favre to Rodgers)
Just wanted to point that out

Given a new offense, and completely new weapons, and an in-flux OLine, he has been pretty damn good this year. I am of the belief that he has another several years of good ball.
Hell, what's the big deal right? Eli has a winning record vs the Redskins but we don't talk about positive feedback from users on BBI, since we're 6 and fucking 9.
Given those factors, Eli has played as well as any QB in football. Too bad it was wasted on a 6-9 season
Isnt that a WR's job? Obviously Beckham has made Eli a lot better but one of the reasons why he was so shitty last year was because his skill guys were even shittier.

I know those numbers are closer to league average in today's NFL, but the bottom line is he's thrown the ball exceptionally well this year and looks to be in complete control of the system. He's got a lot of good football left in him.

He really has on truly viable weapon. What other upper echlon QB can say that? Luck is the only other one. He also has problems on the line, at RB, and at receiver. Guys like Ben, Peyton, and even Brady have All Pro caliber guys playing right now.
Eli throws well regardless, and maybe the run game is just a surrogate for better O line play, but it really strikes me as the difference between wins and losses.
Eli got alot of recognition yesterday.
Not really.
Hilton, Wayne, nicks, Allen, fleener, Richardson, Bradshaw
Not really any better than
Beckham, randle, donnell, Jennings, Williams.
Lucks line is crap also. He just masks their issues better than Eli can simply because of lucks ability to scramble
Yup.
Thing is every once in a while Eli let's one fly that looks like I threw it.
This was more common early on in his career, but there are few in the NFL who can sling it like Eli.
Enjoy it.
Plus imagine Eli in a dome? I mean it is not real football inside, but you would see more stat lines like yesterday.
Just be happy Eli is part of the solution here going forward and has 2 rings under his belt already. Who the fuck cares about Luck's supporting cast...
And Dallas/Indy game was not big; it was meaningless for the Colts.
He and Beckham are enough of a threat by themselves to make the giants relevant. With the right protection, this can be a downright potent offense. With the right DC and key personnel, particularly in the front 7, this could be an all around solid team.
Eli knows how to take advantage of the weapons he is surrounded by. Beckham is an absolute superstar, but Eli is getting every ounce out of him. Just like Eli got every ounce out of Cruz in 2011 and how he rode Nicks down the '11 stretch.
