What is one thing that all of our draft picks have in common?

Yes they were all team captains at their respective schools. Looking back, this strategy might have worked really well for us. I wouldn't be surprised to see the team use the same strategy again.

A team captain is a good attribute but probably the last thing these guys are evaluating. How many sports teams(not pro) have you been on when the captain isn't one of the better players? These colleges have a lot of captains not like Yale/Harvard with one very prestigious captain spot.

I think the idea is that they are drafting guys that love football..

Very committed; self-starters; strong work ethic and leadership skills. It seems to be working. We'll really know better next year.

drafting "production" over "potential".

People are calling for Reese to be fired but they have just started a long rebuild of the Giants by focusing in on production so Reese is a long way from being fired, a very long way.

Has me hoping we go the same way in 2015 and take Shaq Thompson from Washington. Has played LB, S and RB this year. Was voted the team captain as an underclassmen. He fits the mold of last year's draft. I think he is going to be a great player at a position of need.
