I plugged the 16 possible outcomes into the Yahoo Playoff Generator. The games are SEA-STL, ARI-SF, GB-DET, DAL-WAS.
If SEA and GB win we have:
1. SEA 2. GB. 3. DAL 4.CAR/ATL 5. ARI 6. DET
If SEA and DET win we have:
1. SEA 2. DET 3. DAL 4.CAR/ATL 5. ARI 6. GB
If STL, ARI and GB win:
1. GB 2. ARI 3. DAL 4. CAR/ATL 5. SEA 6. DET
If STL, ARI and DET win:
1. ARI 2. DET 3. DAL 4. CAR/ATL 5. SEA 6. GB
If STL, SF and GB win:
1. GB 2. DAL 3. SEA 4.CAR/ATL 5. ARI 6. DET
If STL, SF and DET win:
1. DET 2. DAL 3. SEA 4. CAR/ATL 5. ARI 6. GB
==================================================
So we can draw 2 conclusions (assuming no tie games)
1. The DAL-WAS game is irrelevant to playoff seeding. This makes sense because DAL can only get #2 if SEA loses a game but wins the West anyway. It doesn't matter whether they have a better record than SEA or tie with SEA (because they beat SEA).
2. Barring a STL win over SEA, we have the following:
#1 seed: SEA
#2 seed: GB/DET winner
#6 seed: GB/DET loser at #3 seed: DAL
#5 seed ARI at #4 CAR/ATL winner
I'm not complaining, just curious.
Thank you!

Thank you!
Because if dallas/Seattle/GB or Detroit all end up 12-4..... Dallas has the worst conference record and automatically get the 3 seed.

If Dallas and Seattle both go 12-4 they will be joined with GB or DET at 12-4 (assuming no tie). Since DAL did not play GB or DET the first tiebreak applied for the 3-way tie is conference record, not head to head.
