In college. He gets trashed here
on bbi but sometimes Eli throws
bad passes or he's open and isn't
targeted. If he had a good wr coach.
Cruz wasnt doing so good either
in new offense.
up until yesterday wasnt the plays he was making, it was the plays he wasnt. Too often he would have more games where he would make mistakes than plays.
It was nice to see him play really well yesterday.
About 800 yards. He's not the #1 and most likely doesn't have the mentality to be one but as a 2 or even 3 w Cruz(God Willing) and OBJ he's good enough.
Let's see where this offense is with one more top level OL and more of a consistent run game and Randle is fine.
In fact the calls for a WR high in the draft may be seruously misguided if either Washington or Harris can develop and again Cruz can come back and be effective.
For all the grief he gets....much of it well deserved. He is a contributor on this team. Teams need guys like him. I hope he continues to develop and get his shit together.
next year were laughable. Giants aren't cutting a cost controlled player at a position of need, especially when there've been plenty of glimpses on the admittedly bumpy ride.
RR had a great game yesterday and deserves props for it. Â
But he needs to show that with consistency before we even think of him as a starter or even the first receiver off the bench next season. Right now, I think Parker is a better wideout than him.
He was interviewed. It seems his most recent benching may have woke him up. He went on and on about needing to be more of a reliable player on and off the field.
Let's remember how long it Toomer to get it. Hopefully he is now at that point.
Hmm, has the ability, inconsistent due to mental lapses Â
possibly having a hard time understanding the playbook.
Mario Manningham redux? He had Nicks and Cruz in front of him and did very well, I'm sure Randle would do just fine with Beckham and a healthy Cruz ahead of him.
One game does not make him a good player. I call him a question mark. That puts us in a bad position. At least if we conclude that he stinks, we would know to get rid of him. I have no trust in a guy who seems half asleep because he is likely to be half asleep when needed most in crunch time. He is not a gamer AT ALL and not talented enough to overcome his sleepy attitude.

I doubt it's the playbook. The whole point of this season was a simpler offense. Parker and Beckham came in here and got it right away.
If we do get Cruz back in the slot, he'll be the 3rd option in the passing game for the most part which is about where I think he should be relative to his play.
In fact, WR is one of the major needs for this team Â
OBJ is destined for the greatness but we need a big, physical WR to take some pressure off of him and Cruz (assuming Cruz comes back). I am not sure that player is on this team. If we had or can get a very fast, pass receiving TE, we may not need the WR.
needs to be more consistent, but he's had some very good moments before today. Unfortunately, he's also had a lot of bad moments, including many miscommunication INTs with Eli. He's a big possession receiver, not a burner. With more consistency, he can be very useful in that role.
him due to his errors and inconsistency. Seemed like he was always hanging Eli out to dry by not following through on all plays and fighting for the ball. Yesterday he played very well, jumped up and fought for that early deep ball and there was even a little shake and bake when he spun away from a defender for a bit more YAC later in the game. It is clear how big a difference it makes when there is another reliable skill guy making plays. I hope he has another strong game next week and can bring that into next season.
Beckham tilts the field and the impact he has had on the offense is immense. With someone else out there making plays and contributing like a starter you get results like we all saw yesterday. That was also against what all the pundits and "experts" were saying is a team on the rise due to its excellent defense.
Yesterday, the Giants lit that D up like a Christmas tree.
I was thinking the same thing - Toomer seemed to take forever and a day to contribute on a consistent basis. Then he became our best receiver in decades.

Wasn't blaming the playbook, was implying maybe Randle isn't the sharpest tool in the shed (as had been implied about MM).
the same intelligence, maturity or feel for the game. It may be he has simply taken a bit longer to develop. He has potential, let's hope the mental part of the game has sunk in and he can contribute.
Remember that Browns game his rookie season. He was dominant va a bad secondary. He also had a very nice game last week vs the Skins. I think the criticism of Randle on BBI has been overdone.
there is no way they cut Randle next year.....he is cheap in his last year of his rookie contract.....and if he really thinks about it in the off season, teams will concentrate on OBj, giving him more opportunities next year....PLUS....it's a contract year for him.....maybe money will inspire him....maybe even to the point where we might not be able to afford him...hopefully....
Its part of his learning curve (which was also extended with the new O). But he has been an enigma since being drafted. He has a decent game here and there, he has a great game like yesterday every now and then, and then he has several games where he disappears and is a non-factor. I still don’t know what we have with the kid. It would really help for next year if he could consistently perform like he did yesterday.
RR is never going to create great separation. He lacks top-end quickness and straight-line speed.
However, so do a lot of successful, at least as supporting cast, NFL WRs.
Up until this game, RR seemed to have trouble cleanly grabbing the ball on the first chance. This appeared to be a fatal flaw for a WR who is always going to have the coverage very close to him.
Randle can be a very good 2nd or 3rd option. The Giants could still use a burner as 3rd/4th receiver to stretch defenses. But it's a low priority. Priority needs to be OL's, DL's, sign JPP, find a McAdoo for the DC young from an innovative staff who can be groomed as a potential head coach down the road and the Giants can be a very good team in 2015. If Fewell comes back nothing else matters it will be another wasted year.

Randle is 23, Parker is 27. Randle is YOUNG still. A year older than Beckham.
Hankins, Bromley, Moore, Beckham, Williams and Darkwa are the only players younger than him on the roster, and only Hankins in the group isn't a Rookie. This guys is YOUNG, only 23, and he has 3 seasons under his belt.He will finish over 800 yds for the year and his ydg goes up, a lot, every year.Be licking your chops we have him as a 3rd or 4th wideout. Most of the rookies drafted this year are as old as him or older.2 more seasons he's 25, has 5 years in the league, still young as fuck and many years ahead of him, and a seasoned Vet at that point.
Don't be surprised if he surprises.I think it's way more likely he has a career than he doesn't.
He's outperformed all of them. He's a useful player in this offense.
outperforming these 3 is not accomplishment. Moss was a complete bust, Jernigan has done literally nothin except flash against two offal teams last year. Carter was the most productive of the three but his best season as a pro was 26rec, 300+ yds. He has definately outperformed them but that means nothing to me in reality. His nack for running the wrong route and dropping balls that hit him right in his hands drive me crazy. He can definately be a good player, hes not there yet though.
RE: Like I've been saying, Randle's issues are mostly mental Â
We can't run high-round picks out of town and have to replace them with so many holes to fill.
Reese has wasted a lot of resources on the WR position, some due to his poor drafting, some perhaps due to poor coaching and development. We don't need to invest a 2nd- or 3rd-rounder on WR every year.
People forget that Amani Toomer didn't really emerge until his 4th year. Look at Randle's numbers compared to Toomer's. Amani had 1, 16 and 27 catches and 6 TDs in his first three seasons. Randle put up 19, 41 and 65 and 12 TDs. It's been a little frustrating, but he is getting incrementally better and there is no reason that he can't be a very good #3 WR along side Beckham and Victor Cruz next season.
what Randle has done for the Giants. He's a fine #3, but so is Parker, JJ, and a lot of others. I'm fine with him, but I'm not going to cry if Coughlin decides to go a different way. I don't see him in practice every day.
Jerrell Jernigan

No sign of that perceived flaw in this game.

This kind of ignorance is all too common around BBI.

I hope that is the case but If history is an example the electricity to said light bulb will probably be off next week.
