Jets can say what they want. And you can look at each game and rationalize it all you want as well. But the Jets have the forth worst point differential in the entire NFL. So if you want to point to some close losses - imagine how bad the other losses were then.

And if you go back to last year, when they were absurdly lucky to be 8-8, their two-year point differential is -128.

So they were the worst 8-8 team in history last year, and the best 3-12 team in history this year, which makes them about average for a 5-6 win team. Kudos.

This is so off base. His 3-12 team is still competing which in itself is a major compliment to Rex.

By all accounts his players love him. He has had some major success as the Jets coach and doesn't deserve the crappy roster the Jets management has put together for him.

If you are an owner or GM, would you trust Rex to be able to bring in a staff that could develop a franchise QB? NO. That is going to be his biggest hurdle in getting a 2nd chance.

the Ryans are a relentless family of self-promoters. Rex had some success with Mangini's players. Since then? nothing.

And Rex sets the tone for the team. I am sure the players love him; who doesn't love a clown and someone who tells them how wonderful they are?
