NFT: Dress shirts

CruzShip52 : 12/22/2014 1:00 pm
Sorry this is a weird post but I start with a new company next month and I am use to business casual, now I have to wear suit and tie daily. I am an odd shaped size so no dress shirts really fit unless they are custom made, any suggestions on a good slim fit dress shirt? Cant do the regular ones at macys, nordstrom, mens wearhouse etc. need a true slim fit

They're expensive but they have sales all the time. Very well made shirts.
I have a weird size too.

I have a large neck and normal size body. I wear a brand called Eton in their contemporary line. They fit very well and look really nice. The only problem is that they are expensive (I buy them on sale) but they are very well made shirts that fit great.
thanks on the site now

39 dollars for a dress shirt is not expensive at all
That's

a good price. I think they are regularly near $100 but they have so many sales you can always get them for $30 - $50.
found plenty of good ones

thanks, now i just hope when they say slim fit, they mean slim fit, i have an 18inch neck so my dress shirt size is 18 or 18.5 and sleeve length is 38 but i am athletic build so a 33 waist size, every shirt i buy that is 18inch neck i feel i can fit me and 3 other ppl in the shirt with me
The Slim part

is Legit. I'm 6'0 but only 155 - 160 so I'm swimming in most shirts. I like the way the CT shirts fit. Good luck
really appreciate it!

has 4 different fits including 2 levels of slim. But they're pricy. I think they're only worth it if you like the non-iron feature.

I have never worn a better made shirt and I have the same oversized neck issue.
They also have slimmer cuts

as I'm also 6'6" but only 296 lbs so I have to be careful when buying shirts.

is the best dress shirt I've ever worn but you get what you pay for.

But whatever you buy, make sure its 100% cotton.
I'll second Charles Tyrwhitt...

They too have two variations of slim and slimmer fit, and I've found them to be among the best alternatives to custom tailored. For $40-60 a shirt with terrific customer service and speedy shipping I've become a big fan.
I have one brooks shirt
CruzShip52 : 12/22/2014 2:08 pm : link
its nice but i also go swimming in it, it is 18inch slim fit and it just doesnt fit right, i have big arms and wide shoulders, it is way big but then on my arms it looks like it is from baby gap...

Ledbury i browsed a bit 125 for a shirt, i need about 9-10 so not sure i am gonna spend over 1100 on just dress shirts

If you're 6'6" 295, you really don't have to be careful doing anything.

For completely custom tailored shirts. Great quality, fit perfectly.

They run about $200 for three. Completely redid my work wardrobe with them this past year.
Yeah looked at

Has great shirts, but I find the sizing a little inconsistent on the Extra Slim Fits. I think it has to do wit how high the different cuts start to pinch in. Some are tight on my ribcage.

They are running a big sale now. So is Jos A. Banks with whom I have had good luck. (But again, the nominal $100 shirts can usually be had on sale for 25-40.)
