they are a good free throw shooting team. usually harrison, jordan, greene , or branch shot over 70%. Harrison is usually over 85%. The defense is stifling and their quickness is tough to match up with. They need Jordan to do anything though. Nice gritty win though.
they're actually one of the best defensive teams in the country not named Kentucky. Offensively they're hit or miss and in the bigger conference games they play (Nova, G'Town) they'll need Harrison and Rysheed Jordan to be on.
The Obekpa that showed up tonight would make them the team to beat in the Big East. He's a maddening player because he always has 4 fouls and almost never contributes offensively but his presence in the middle anchors the defense and when he scores a little bit, he's an incredibly valuable center
Former Johnnie Dwayne Polee (now at SDSU) collapsed on the court and was taken off by paramedics after 10 minutes. Fortunately he regained consciousness and gave a thumbs-up to the crowd indicating he was OK
he literally does everything you could humanly ask for and gives up all his personal accolades for the cause. Lavin put him against that 7 footer for St. Mary's who was outplaying Obekpa the other day and SirDom just shut him down even though he gives up 7 inches
He's one of the ultimate glue players (a guy who keeps his team together) in college BB this year and does a remarkable amount of dirty work/hustle plays that you don't see in the boxscore
