With such a strong draft for pass rushers and possibly 4 going in the first 10 picks (leonard williams, shane ray, fowler, beasley) I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't grab one of those guys, even with resigning JPP. Or will they stick to the ol BPA mantra?
If an OL is rated high enough on our board i think that will be the pick. Everyone on WFAN yesterday kept emphasizing more then any other position how they needed to upgrade the OL

Exactly on the DE question. I'm ok with a OL but I don't think the need is as dire as most. Beatty, Richburg, Schwartz and Pugh and all legitimate starters. One more FA of similar talent would make a viable OL.
I don't think the draft lines up well for us at #9. No 4/3 DE, no safety, no DT, no need or pick at CB. Maybe a WR? Parker is a fit.
I hate to suggest this, but I'm sure he's confident he can make Kiwinuka a player.
The Giants aren't letting JPP walk and never were. They'll franchise him if they have to

I certainly hope not. Kiwanuka has a fork sticking out of his back
I also think there are players that under produced because of scheme.
+1. Spags got quite a bit of increased production from our Dline vs. Tim Lewis. Not to mention the wonders he did with Corey Webster.
JPP, Moore,Hankins, Kennard,Prince, DRC, Rolle (to a lesser contract), that is a pretty darn good core with Reese likely to add more via draft and FA.
Excited to see what Spags can do with those pieces.

I could see the LB or safety. We just need a talented player though. I think this move really increases the chances of keeping JPP.

Why don't you just come back as JerseyJoe and stop hiding under new handles, Joe?
Imagine that? Problem is, Will said he needed to get away from this area due to problems with the old crowd he used to hang with.

agree
the top 2 picks will be a DE and a OT
take your pick of the order
Absent that, the best chance of winning is to push all your chips into the pot and bet big time on the offense. Beckham is a once in a generation. special player. I would put every new asset into surrounding Beckham with enough talent that the offense is unstoppable.
Add the following:
1. A solid threat at WR. Right now that is the biggest need (anyone counting on Cruz is nuts - maybe he has the best year of his career, but betting the season on that is just crazy)
2. OL in FA
3. RB
And a TE would be nice. But, at the end of the day the Giants need a solid running game and a WR to go with Beckham and Randle. Accomplish that and I predict the 2015 Giants break every single season offensive record in the Giants record book.
and we get one olineman
we can win

Having said that, we should go with a road grader OL selection first...but yes, Spags coming may change that.
which is fine, if there is (and I have not looked at this myself, comment please) he would make the DEs we have...and those we draft in 2,3, 4 or what have you
better
welcome to the era of 'multiple ' type DLs
