I For One Am Rooting For The Pats To Win The Superbowl

I'd love to see Brady suffer another soul crushing defeat.

I don't hate the Pats, at least as of yet I don't hate the Seahawks. A good game is all I want to see.

not in the least. I can't stand Pete Carroll. Seahawks fans and their twelfth man bullshit is insufferable already. The Pats don't bother me nearly as much. Well, slightly not as much. And while they like to talk about parity in the NFL I don't see it in the AFC. What is it like 9 of the last 10 or 11 years the Pats have gone to the championship game. This is Brady's sixth trip to the Super Bowl. Meh. I'll watch but I don't know who I'll be rooting against more.

I've never hated the Pats. I've always appreciated how great Bill and Brady are. I'll be rooting for them, gidiefor's reason being one of them, but I just can't stand the Seahawks.

This SB is a defining moment for both of them as great as the wins have been to loose three SB would tarnish the legacy they have built. From watching these games they seem to be hands down the best team on the field by a wide margin. If you hate or like the Pats no one can say that this team is not prepared to win every game once they hit the field. If they can stop one of the best offenses in football so easily I can't see the Seahawks being a big challenge for them. The Pats put a mental and physical beat down on teams but even more important they put lots of points on the scoreboard.

For gidiefor's reason and the fact that I have alot of respect for Belichik and Brady. Don't live in new england so I don't see many of their fans and also not a baseball fan so that whole yankees/red sox rivalry doesn't influence me.

But I'll probaby pull for the Pats so I don't have to see Russell Wilson's phony victory act after the game.

I like being the only blemishes on the Pats record. My company is loaded with transplant out of the woodwork front running hawks fans and it's annoying.

I find Pete Carroll obnoxious. Nothing like escaping to the NFL as the NCAA is about to come down on your program.

And Belichick does have NYG connections. It was his defense that basically won Super Bowl XXV against Buffalo.

Mostly, I'll root for a good game with the Pats winning.

Root for the Pats. They are a bunch of cheaters that haven't won anything in 10 years. Now it's coming out that they were deflating footballs yesterday. Doubt it had much impact on the game, but it's still cheating. There fans are obnoxious as hell.

The Seahawks play a style of football that Giants fans should love. Great run game and great D. Plus them winning is better for the Giants. If they win another SB they are going to have trouble holding onto their guys once paying Russ. Which should make the NFC much easier for us.

After yesterday's game I don't see anyway they lose. When you win a game like that you are a team of destiny. No chance there offense plays that bad against the Pats. Which should help there D who completely shut down a team with a better QB, WRs & run game.

but living in New England for me the fallout of a Patriots win will linger and be much much worse than a Seahawks win - tenfold worse for me if the Pats win.

So, I wouldn't say I'm "rooting" for either team, but I'd prefer a Seahawks win if I had to pick a team.

Neither team was a "dominant" team during the season, but the Pats have a coach, that has his teams win games that they are suppose to win....his teams do not play down to the level of other teams, and he goes for the jugular when he has a team down, creating "easy" wins....

Seattle fans and especially Seattle players (and even some people on here) are acting like they're the greatest fucking thing on the planet. Some humble pie is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Brady will not be running up and down the field against the Hawks defense, feel good about that beating they laid down on a Colts team that really has not talent beyond Luck and some inconsistent receivers.

I hate that I have to pull for the Patriots, but I have no choice.

For me, as long as the Packers (and the week before, the Cowboys) were eliminated, all is good.

Overall, I think I'm going to root more strongly against the Pats:

1) Don't want them to get SB #4 and tie the Giants.
2) Don't want Brady to tie Montana and Bradshaw (I can't stand Mr "We're only going to score 17 points".

However,

1) I don't like Seattle getting back to back Super Bowls.
2) I don't like Seattle tying the Giants as the only NFC repeat Super Bowl winner since 2000.
3) I agree the whole "12th man thing" is annoying.
4) Richard Sherman is a pompous ass.
5) There is something to be said for "Belichick and Brady are 4-0 in SBs, except 0-2 versus the Giants".

But hate New England more.

I have no issues rooting for the Pats, really. I'd like to see them beat Seattle.

I am hoping for a good SB. Seahawks look like they have major issues defending the run, and Blount looked scary good yesterday.

much I want the Patriots to absolutely destroy Seattle. Like 30+ points. After a gut it out win like yesterday I don't see how Seattle doesn't feel like a repeat is their destiny now though. Giants / Hawks have had some good games sinceI can begin to remember games clearly (2002), and Hawks fans I've encountered have been dicks about most of all of them.

05 Jay Feely game? Didn't we blow a lead to them in 02, as well? Couple blowouts in their building, then we blew them out a few times. Just fuck that team. I don't want them to go back to back at all. I was sick of this team by March 2014.

For lots of the reasons listed above, and also living in Boston and being Sox, C's, and B's fans, it would be nice for this area to have another championship after going so long without one.

The Pats have this in the bag. Seattle got so completely lucky with the TD pass, the Extra 2 Point pass, and the onsides kick. I know anything can happen in football but they did NOT deserve the to win that game.

For the simple fact that, if they win, their stupid fucking mouth breathing fans will inevitably chant, "Yankees Suck!" at the rally.

Plus, my family is full of Pats fans.

I'm rooting for the Patsies to win a controversy laden game. That prevents the Hawks from two in a row and keeps the Pats fans a bit in check and with Brady's only SB losses from the Giants.
