But after reading the early reviews, I feel like I'm not so sure.
The P-Series is Vizio's line of 4K HDTVs. 4K is still quite new but I like being a step ahead rather than to regret it in a year and a half when I won't want to buy a new one.
I'd say my price range tops out at $1700, and I had my heart set on a 60".
Are there any contenders out there I'm not seeing? Seems like the Vizio is the only set in my range that offers 4K and local dimming technology. I'm a little leery of Samsung being overpriced, and don't know much about Sony TVs as I've never owned one.
If you want best picture for the price with no extras this is the best bang for the buck.
I get all my apps and smart tv stuff through the ps4.
But if you gotta be the first . . . .
Only has one HDMI so bought a splitter on amazon for $20.
Really great picture for the price and size
I bought my daughter a Smart LED Samsung 40 inch over holidays for 400.

Plasma is obsolete. Thus you cannot view anything on your TV anymore.

Just sharing support for Vizio. They upped their game.

my LG plasma picture is off the fucking hook. if this picture is even remotely close, you will be happy.
I bought at Sam's Club the Vizio M42-BI for $378 for the bedroom and I am extremely happy with it for the money.

That M-series was the other one I was seriously considering. Thanks for the thoughts, guys. I think I may save a bit of cash after rethinking it.
Like others here, I recently picked up a 60" LG plasma. I got the lower end one b/c I didn't need the bells and whistles, and the picture quality is awesome.
