Round 1:
Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami
The Giants will consider taking a left tackle with this selection. There's no telling how much longer William Beatty will be around, given his contract status (due about $19 million over the next three years). In the meantime, Ereck Flowers can start at right tackle, which would allow Justin Pugh to move inside to upgrade one of the guard spots. Flowers would then ultimate move into the blind-side spot once Beatty moves on. Check out the NFL Draft Rumor Mill, where Charlie reported a month that Flowers has received top-20 grades.
Round 2:
Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana
I don't think the Giants will go out of their way to take a running back, but Tevin Coleman is too good to pass up. He could complement Andre Williams well, as the oft-injured Rashad Jennings can't be trusted.
Round 3:
Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
Here's some defensive line help for the Giants, who could use some long-term options in the interior to go along with Johnathan Hankins.
Round 4:
Wayne Lyons, CB, Stanford
The Giants have a couple of cornerbacks who will be heading toward free agency, so they'll need to find some depth behind Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara.

I think if the Giants are determined to go OL in the first round it may be better to trade down and get a later round one pick and a high second.
I think he can eventually be a top 10 LT in the NFL cutting his teeth at RT next year which makes him worthy of 9. Collins is a little more unpolished but also has a huge upside. Clemmings may have the best AA of the bunch and amazing feet but is more raw than all of them. Flowers is interesting as well but the ceiling may not be as high as Peat and Clemmings.
^This. I would take Davis in round two, assuming we go OL in round one. Collins and Shelton are the two I think are most likely, but I could see the Giants taking Clemmings. He's raw, but so was JPP, and for better or worse (Robinson), Reese is a "measureables" guy. Clemmings to RT and Pugh to G.
I'd be stunned if we took Coleman in round two. Really hard to believe the Giants would think he was the BPA at that point in the draft.
I also don't see any way Carl Davis lasts to rd 3. Don't be surprised if by April he's in rd 1. Very underrated player right now.
RT @ConorTOrr: For what it's worth, heard Giants especially interested in OL, LB + S crop down here. Obvious, but sounds like more than one…
Second this. Doesn't seem to be a Giant type especially at 9.
Love his demeanor and drive to get better.
That being said if Flowers develops he could be a nasty player, with a very mean and consistent run blocking ability. However, you can make the same claim about Pete as Pete's athleticism is expected to be off the charts at the combine for an OT. (I believe he was also recruited to paly power forward) He also has great feet, which you just can't coach. There may not be a "blue goose" LT in this draft, but there are a handfull of intriguing prospects with big upside. Pete and Flowers are two of them.
I like the idea of a RB in round 2-4, but I know absolutely nothing about this kid from Indiana. Anyone have insight?

Thanks Blue, do you know if they are naming names?
Thanks, good insight. That settles it for me then. You don't draft RTs at #9. I also think that means Flowers will be there in round 2.
Has great measurable that the Giants will love.
Also, even though he graduated HS in MD I believe he grew up on Long Island. That should allow the Giants to still get a free look and interview during workouts in March/April.
Why do you feel that way?
And if we take a RB in round 2 we better hit a home run with him.

One could argue that because the offense is stronger, that you invest to make it stronger still. One dominant side of the ball..
A lot has been invested in the defense (DRC, Thurmond, JPP, Hankins, Bromley, Moore), and the unit has been poorly coached. This is not to say we don't need to invest.
This offense was bottom of the barrel in 2013, and came back to life with ODB, but the OL still is average at best, and needs at least another playmaker.
It's amazing what a difference a year makes. People now think the O is set. The D is in much better shape than the O.
Also, I think they'll spend some UFA dollars on defense, realizing needs at S, LB, and DL (and CB if they skip re-signing Thurmond, et al).
I just think this defense has enough talent currently to be at the very least competent.
This is what I am talking about: Is the defense completely void of talent?
JPP (He will be back in 2015 one way or other)
Hankins (2nd round pick, After letting LJ go)
Bromley (who you spend a 3rd on)
Moore (who made things happen when he got on field)
Kennard
DRC/Prince (Top corner duo)
Safety is a need if Rolle is let go. But to act like Spags has nothing to work with is wrong.
Again- IF there is a stud pass rusher at 9, I'm all for it.
Jalen Strong
in the first two rounds if it shakes out that way.

I'd sign up for that. This is a deep WR class. Not quite last year but damn good. Dorial Green-Beckham,Rashad Green,Sammie Coates,Ty Montgomery, Lockett, Jalean Strong, Maxx Williams(TE) one of these guys will be available at 40 (while an LT would not).
Go OT, WR/TE/RB (Just get Eli another weapon) first 2 rounds. Defense can have the rest of draft.
If memory serves, Reese has taken an RB before round 4 just once. And that was Wilson who he envisioned as an electric all purpose back and game-changer ala Tiki Barber. Don't see it w/Rashad and Andre on the roster already.
Cooper is just such a stud with the route running/agility, White is prob the best overall athlete with his Julio Jones-lite skillset, Parker's ball skills are sick even if his speed isn't (he kinda reminds me of Randle with better ball skills)...
But I'm starting to think that DGB has the highest ceiling of the WR group. His size advantage on DBs is a joke. And the way he moves at that size is amazing to see. He won't be a guy who makes plays everywhere on the field like ODB, he he'll be a monster downfield and redzone threat. An Alshon Jeffery/Plax type of bully at the WR position, but a better pure athlete than both those guys so he has a higher ceiling.
Wouldn't touch him at #9 considering the off the field stuff. But if he's there in the 2nd round I'd take him despite the risks(unless we went WR rd 1).
I'd also take Jalen Strong in the 2nd, I could also see him end up the best WR from this group as well. WR in rd2 seems much more appealing to me right now than WR in rd1 again.
McKinney, Odighizuwa, Strong or Perryman would great picks there.
Me too, he's my favorite OL this go-around, especially with Stanley returning to school
does he return punts ??
