NFT: Atlantic City Hotels Recommendations.

Group heading there in late February to unload for a night. Looking for non-casino hotel recommendations in an attempt to save a few bucks. Looking for something that is in close proximity to the casinos, while avoiding ones that rent by the hour. TIA.
Honestly...

if have a casino card, your best bet may be to stay at a casino.

Otherwise there is a courtyard by Marriott that can occasionally have decent rates. Better if someone in your party is military or has Marriott points.

That's the only NON-Casino hotel I've stayed in. I've heard the Chelsea is nice, but I think it's costly.
A pretty good option if you're going with a group

would be to rent a house/condo for the weekend over in Brigantine. It's a very short cab ride away from AC. Particularly Borgata, Harrah's and Golden Nugget. Most will require a 2 night stay but you can't beat the bang for your buck you'll get in the offseason.

I've learned over the past 15+ years of going to AC, it's just not worth staying at a non-casino hotel in AC. Even more these days as AC is getting worse by the day.

I use this place all the time now. It's not a casino, search vacation rentals on Jersey Shore Craigslist, you will see a bunch there. Email them your dates and see what they have. When I go it's usually with groups of 4-6 people and we get a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit for $175 per night. It's a minimum two night stay so you will pay $350 for the weekend. But that's it, no extra costs. It's a timeshare place so you are going as the guest of whichever owner you work with. Really easy process, but since it's a timeshare they will try to sell you on it, but only once when you check in. I always just say no and keep walking. After that they leave you alone. It is on the same block as Resorts and about 2-3 block walk from the Irish Pub.
