Do either of these guys somehow survive another camp and make the 53 next year?
I like Jernigan and thought his injury was weird and shady.
Hosely looked good his rookie camp and I was high on him but he's been high since and has sucked.
What say you about these quick smurfs?
Hosely is DONE as a Giant
Hosley... i think gets no special treatment. he comes in and makes it or gets cut strictly on merit. sounds crazy that this is not the norm. last year i would have been interested to see what would have happened had he not been suspended to start the season. after his 4 weeks, the injuries had already begun to ravage the CBs.
Hosley is a goner. Healthy scratches at the end of the year. But you never know. Maybe he sticks for cheap. And Spags can turn him into a decent cb
JJ still does not even have an identified role on this team is he a slot or even an outside guy? Can he come into camp while Cruz is not there and perform in the slot from week to week? Where is the speed that he was supposed to provide to this team we have not even seen it on ST? Will having a guy like OBJ on the field with him provide the same spark it did for RR late in the season?
Now we have to consider is JJ a better talent than Parker, Ogletree, Harris & Talley and is he someone other teams will even show any interest in. For the right price you almost have to bring him back since presently we don't have a slot guy there are not many reasons not to bring him back.
Hosley needs to move on I don't know what happened but this player has battle fatigue. We all felt he had talent from his rookie year but since then he has been a disaster on the field consistently. His only chance in this game and the NFL is to find a new home quickly.
Referring, of course, to the professional defensive coaching staff whose defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach were just terminated? The fact that the position coach got the ax should tell you a little something about what Coughlin thought of his work.
It's puzzling that BBI'rs think a small, not particularly fast or elusive receiver is worth giving 75 chances to but climb up one side and down the other of Randle. Jernigan makes Randle look like Jerry Rice.

Good one Homer!
Hosely is small and he plays small, and he's another one that can't stay on the field...yes, he is under contract, but is he even worth 666K? He'll be invited to camp, and I'm sure he will be cut.....
we have also drafted 2 players from that program recently
he's got the all-time record for most collegiate receptions and is an ex-QB w/great work ethic and team-first attitude
Hardy (ECU) - ( New Window )
lmaooo was i the only one that laughed out loud at this response?
man was this funny
Hosley has a new DB coach and an new DC. We will know by the end of preseason if he's a true bust.
Who knows? The light may go on just in time to save their careers.
AGREE, in spades, WM.
And I'd keep Parker over JJ in a heartbeat
You said it!!
It's an insult to Webster.
It's not a guarantee, but stranger things have certainly happened.
They're probably long shots to make it, but they might find some new life if they can be coached up.

This was said about Webster too in 2006.
However, this does give him a certain flexibility as his agent should make a determination of destination based on chances to succeed rather than financial considerations.
While you may be correct that they return under TC, this is the kind of bad decision that has left our roster with little to no talent.
Its bad enough to miss on draft picks, but to continue to provide roster spots year after year to guys that don't get it on the field is salt in the wound...
