But great for PA skiing. Sometimes gets too crowded on the weekends. Odd set up as the lodge is at the top of the mountain.
I live right by

Camelback Mt. in the Poconos and I can tell you honestly Blue Mt. is prob the best mountain up here in the area. I've been to all of them except Bear in the Lehigh Valley (Small Mt.) Blues Setup is odd like in the post earlier, but best all around, especially if you're into the terrain park. Camelback gets icy sometimes and crowded on weekends like blue, but the Mt. etiquette is horrible at CBK. Even some of the ski patrol employees are assholes (especially to snowboarders). Mid week though CBK is great to ride, a lot of tougher to intermediate trails. My top 3 in the area

1.) Blue
2.) CBK
3.) Shawnee

Have fun and be safe.

is nice as well as Camelback or you can go a lil further west and go to Big Boulder. BB is a nice family mountain.
Cool place for sure

Better than camelback in terms of crowds, lines, etc.

I was there last week, was pleasantly surprised.

have lodging connected to them or just visit for the day skiing. Living in DC, have been looking for alternatives to the local stuff for years, 7Springs, and some of the other minimalist mountains out on 70w in Maryland.
good beginning mountains

but any ski resort in PA is essentially a hill.

If you go to big boulder the Radisson right there is good and if you want to splurge stay at split rock they have an indoor water park ala great wolf lodge.
Guys thanks for the responses

Here all week with kids, 6, 8, 8. Nice place. Yeah, it ain't Vail, but the kids love it and I can get back home and to work in NYC in under 2 hours. Not crowed at during weekday. Staying at Wyndham time share. Decent, pretty nice actually. Again, its not the Four Seasons but its nice for the family ski trip.
