@AdamSchefter: Browns WR Josh Gordon flunked another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year banishment, per league sources. More on ESPN @ 6 pm.
Wait actually the Nfl has already turned into the NBA and MLB
You guys are unbelievable. Oh, and ignorant. My guess is that the two guys on this thread that are whining about this are in their early 20's and have no clue on how the world works. They of course think they do, but they don't.
He didn't just "have a beer". He is in the leagues substance abuse program. That means that he has zero tolerance to testing positive to anything, from alcohol on up. He is fully aware of how this works and the expectations of him. Yet he shows up drunk for a drug test.

"BEREA, Ohio –The Browns have told Johnny Manziel all the talk about changing his ways is meaningless unless he follows through with actions.
It's time to hold the organization to the same standard in regards to Josh Gordon.
Multiple outlets are reporting the receiver has failed his third drug test in as many years – this time for alcohol. He was placed in a program for alcohol testing after pleading guilty to DUI last September.
The violation would carry at least a year-long ban. The Browns shouldn't require that much time to decide on his future. This must be the end for Gordon, 23, who's been given numerous chances to get his off-field life together.
His immense talent is no longer worth the trouble for a franchise that spent the final weeks of the regular season preaching responsibility and suspending violators like Justin Gilbert, Johnny Manziel and Gordon.
It's time to release the former All Pro and send a message to other young players. It's a message veterans such as Joe Thomas, Donte Whitner and Karlos Dansby already were endorsing before they left the visitors locker room in Baltimore after the season finale.
"I've been assured that we're going to bring guys in and get guys off this bus that don't really want to be here and do what they are supposed to do" Whitner said on Dec. 28.
Gordon didn't play in the Browns' 20-10 loss to the Ravens because coach Mike Pettine suspended him for missing the final team walk-thru. The Browns finished the year 1-5 after Gordon returned from a 10-game, league-imposed ban.
At his season-ending news conference, Pettine said Gordon was at a "crossroads" with the organization, but that he had a place in it provided he "played like a Brown." Instead, he partied like one. Last week, the wideout was photographed with Manziel in Aspen.
I lobbied for the Browns to keep him the last time he tested positive for marijuana a year ago. Players with talent earn more strikes -- that's just how the NFL operates -- but they're not infinite. Gordon said all the right things during his last hiatus and even took a part-time job selling cars.
He returned to the lineup Nov. 23 and played a terrific game in Atlanta, but appeared disinterested over his final four appearances. Despite his Twitter protests to the contrary, he looked like a player who wanted to be somewhere else..." Link - ( New Window )
Idiot.
No it isn't. The guy has been given multiple chances and them actually standing by a no tolerance policy is something that the absolutely must do.
I know weed is your schtick and all but please go away.
Sad at this point...
But I am not sure we'll ever see that headline.

Did Josh Gordon have any "issues" in college that some GM's were worried about?

Idiot.
Replace 'smoke weed' with 'drink booze'. Still the same.
