NFT: Shooting in Manhattan's Home Depot

spike : 1/25/2015 3:58 pm
"Gunfire erupted inside a crowded Home Depot in Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, killing one person and sending droves of shoppers — stocking up for the impending snow storm — fleeing for their lives, law-enforcement sources said.
Two people were shot, including the gunman, sources said.
It’s unclear who was killed, but the other wounded person was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
A 50-year-old Bronx resident shopping for brackets said he was feet away from the shooting — and that the gunman turned the weapon on himself.

“I was in the aisle next to where the shooting happened. I had just gotten in there, and I heard about five shots. I thought it was fireworks. But then I saw people running and I should have run with them. But I looked into the next aisle,” the man told The Post.
“I felt that I had nothing to fear because the shooter had just shot himself in the head. From what I’m hearing from employees it was a disgruntled worker who came to shoot his supervisor after he got fired.”

as well as just generally stared at the hardware.

that store seems to cycle some very entry level people through.

it's been problematic because they dont know much at all about the products, dont know where things are, and so forth.

now, they may be hiring people off unemployment rolls, which is

-awesome-

, but, possibly have a policy of only keeping them for a few weeks, ?!? (not awesome)

for some reason (tax credits? some sort of benefits to do with healthcare? I am not trolling, seriously, there must be a rational for it, if such a policy exists) frustrating as a customer and I cannot imagine being toyed with coming off the unemployment rolls (actually, check that, I can imagine that just fine)
