this is what the Rumble should be like every year they need to make sure it happens. Although initially we were lead to be believe it was going to end up Lesnar vs Reigns I think circumstances have changed, although it could very well still end up being that. But, at the time, smarks thought his thug gimmick was cool. And when he first turned face, everyone loved him. It changed over time, with the shoving down the throats. Reigns kind of skipped the everyone loves part.

WWE, of course, took exactly what got him over (being the mostly silent badass guys thought was cool and women lusted after) and destroyed it, turning him into some Cena Lite tool.

They did a great job leading into the Rumble by clouding the predictability factor but once the actual Rumble match was under way and Bryan was eliminated it was sooooo predictable. They could have and should have done better.
Actually, there were boos for Hogan at one of the early Rumbles. Back in 1992's Royal Rumble at the Knickerbocker Arena (now the Times Union Center in Albany), Hogan faced Sid Justice. Vince was still pushing Hogan as a face, and was starting to turn Sid to a bad guy (Sid Vicious).
The joke was on Vince, though, as everyone was sick and tired of Hogan's stale act at that point (at least all of us at the arena, I was there!). We were booing like crazy at Hogan, and confused the hell out of both guys (here's the Wikipedia link. The WWF had to edit the show, it was that bad. We were treating Hogan like Cena was down in Philly!

know most you didn't watch TNA but Bully/Bubba Ray was actually FANTASTIC in TNA. Wasted opportunity. Guy absolutely was good enough to be an upper mid carder or even a guy who you throw into one of the lesser PPV's in a quickie main event feud. He was that good.

When the Rock can't carry you when he is doing your speaking that's a bad sign. Watch that promo I referenced it was absolutely brutal. Rock was on a roll and then Reigns just sucked the life out of it everytime he started to speak. Hopefully Reigns will have more moves to use in Mania.
but I heard about what happened. The WWE just does not give a shit what the fans want to see. They showed that last year at the rumble and this year as well. When everybody expects Reigns to win it months in advance and then it happens... it's just boring as hell. And then on top of that, there was no good talent in the rumble. Nobody to even make you think "hey, maybe this guy will actually win it." I think the only other wrestler in it who even might've had a chance to make you think that was Bryan. And from what I read, he was eliminated fairly early on. And then the final three sounds like a joke, even further adding to the fact that it's painfully obvious who wins.
But I do feel somewhat bad for Reigns getting booed. I can see why they want to push him but it's dumb to do it right now. No. The guy did EXCELLENT work in TNA regardless of the surrounding talent. Great on the mic, excellent matches. The guy lost weight, improved you would be surprised how good he is.

I'm honestly done watching and have for about a year now but that's disappointing. I really think his progression from ring boy to what he became in TNA was nothing short of amazing. Imagine Rowan one day becoming a capable main event worker/putting on plus matches, that would be something similar.

Ziggler to me is nothing more than a spot monkey...yeah he hits some big moves and he takes big bumps but he never tells the story, he has the moves down but he is not good at ring psychology...

Having matches with big spots are nice as a change of pace but in my opinion shouldnt be main event type matches..
To me i hate the matches where each guy keeps kicking out of the others finisher..its stupid to me and in the grand scheme it is killing the validity of the guys strongest move...
In the 90's early 2000's you would rarely see someone kick out of another person's finisher and when it did happen it made it more shocking and better, now you see it in every single match...

Heyman needs a guy. I thought it would be Rollins, but its a perfect time to send Reigns as a heel and let Heyman do for him what he does for Brock.
He's a great seller, maybe the best they have. But he's not great on the mic, his moveset is not the greatest, and I do think because of his amazing selling ability many of his matches give off the appearance of being better than they actually are. It do think an upper card is his peak, never a main eventer.
As for Bryan, I also kind of get what the other poster is saying. We can't having booing, and non stop chanting everytime Bryan isn't in the main event. That being said the Rumble was booked poorly. It's obvious the people who booked it thought dump Bryan early and by the end people will get over it. Which is insulting to the audience to be honest, that they thought they'd be stupid enough to forget in like 35 minutes.

Daniel Bryan comes back enters the Rumble to fire things up. He knows and WWE he is probably not ready for full time action. They put him in the Rumble to fire everybody up. Now he goes about the business of getting himself into a triple threat match for the Championship at Mania.
My thoughts are they brought him in to see how he wod hold up in his 1st match back. Think they want to make sure he can handle the load before giving him the title.

The schedule opens up a bit into more friendly territory for WWE and casuals who like Reigns in the weeks to come. It's not a Batista situation like last year, where casuals didn't even know who he was. Casuals know Reigns and do like him. This cancellation might just wind up a blessing in disguise for Vince and let it all die down. I think there is a good shot of that actually.

I have drifted in and out of watching over the years and I can honestly say at this point I have no desire to watch the main WWE product. It is boring, predictable, and total bullshit. What is crazy is that they have some insanely talented guys on that roster but the creative team churns out tired garbage week in and week out.
I do watch NXT from time to time and I also enjoy Lucha Underground, Chikara, PWG and New Japan Pro Wrestling. If you need a wrestling fix check one of those promotions out.

But, at the time, smarks thought his thug gimmick was cool. And when he first turned face, everyone loved him. It changed over time, with the shoving down the throats. Reigns kind of skipped the everyone loves part.
WWE, of course, took exactly what got him over (being the mostly silent badass guys thought was cool and women lusted after) and destroyed it, turning him into some Cena Lite tool.
Problem is, it was evident when the Rock was in the Nation and the Corporation that he had it all to be the next big thing. Reigns doesn't and I'm not sure he can develop it. It's really a matter of having "it" or not. Rock did; Reigns doesn't.
Bryan out early in the match, and some of smark favorites, Wyatt, Ambrose, Ziggler eliminated by Show and Kane guys no one cares about anymore, then both massive immoveable guys eliminated at the same time by the guy the smarks are all booing.

They did a great job leading into the Rumble by clouding the predictability factor but once the actual Rumble match was under way and Bryan was eliminated it was sooooo predictable. They could have and should have done better.

When the Rock can't carry you when he is doing your speaking that's a bad sign. Watch that promo I referenced it was absolutely brutal. Rock was on a roll and then Reigns just sucked the life out of it everytime he started to speak. Hopefully Reigns will have more moves to use in Mania.

No. The guy did EXCELLENT work in TNA regardless of the surrounding talent. Great on the mic, excellent matches. The guy lost weight, improved you would be surprised how good he is.
I'm honestly done watching and have for about a year now but that's disappointing. I really think his progression from ring boy to what he became in TNA was nothing short of amazing. Imagine Rowan one day becoming a capable main event worker/putting on plus matches, that would be something similar.
If it is not Ziggler (who i think is extremely overrated) or Bryan then the crowd shits on it and to me it is getting kind of annoying now...

In the 90's early 2000's you would rarely see someone kick out of another person's finisher and when it did happen it made it more shocking and better, now you see it in every single match...
The guys i actually like watching wrestle Ambrose, Rollins, Orton, HHH, Wyatt, and that is really it..
Those guys when they get into a ring no how to tell a story and get you invested into a match...

i agree with you... bubba was great but the rest of wasnt that great. Though i blame that on just the booking.
To me Scott Hall was one of the best workers in wrestling in his prime..the guy simply knew how to tell a story and sell the shit out of a match...

My thoughts are they brought him in to see how he wod hold up in his 1st match back. Think they want to make sure he can handle the load before giving him the title.
