watching the highlights on ESPN.....watching the two "coaches" promote themselves was a joke....
The Pro Bowl will never be what it once was.....an interesting game.....players use to actually play and care.....now they are out there for the fun week, and just trying not to get hurt.....
Remember when the American league played the National League in the 60's? The Nationals wanted to win, because the American league always seemed to win the World Series in the 40's, 50's, and part of the 60's.....The American league considered themselves superior.....the National League played those games like WS games, to show the American League they were as talented if not more talented than the American league....it was like a grudge war, but only one side was holding a grudge.....In Mantle's book, he always looked at the All Star game as a vacation, and time for partying, and so did a lot of the American Leaguers......but the Nationals wanted to stick it to them, and guys like Mays and Rose played hard to win.....
That element is gone from the Pro Bowl, it was there at one time.....but no more.....
Vinateri is super butt hurt about the missed FG's last night. He said something like "take the gloves off the WR's and see how many one handed catches they make then"
I guess someone was rubbing it in on him that OBJ hit a 45 yarder and he missed like 3 kicks from closer in than that
Vinateri can't seem to get the ball through them
He actually was ahead of Tannehill (the 8th alternate; Dalton was the 7th) because of the fan voting third.
He actually got more fan votes than a couple of the alternates ahead of him, for that matter.
I'm watching the "Interview" via Netflix, instead of Pro ShitBowl.
