Tuck/Boothe

Tark10 : 1/26/2015 7:56 am
Considering the Raiders have another new head coach.. You guys think Tuck/Boothe could be cut? Tuck would provide pass rushing depth and Boothe better line depth then what is on the Giants roster now. New coaches tend to want to bring in there own guys. I for one would like to see Tuck back here again. Boothe can also play guard or center to back up Richburg if Walton does get cut.
No, Tuck won't be cut IMO

he is like another coach on that team. Great presence for the young players.
We should never have let Boothe go

On one leg he would've been better than what we had last two years at guard

Boothe's work deteriorated his last year here..Would have loved the Boothe of 2011..For that matter, Nicks, JPP and even Cruz as well..

Tuck will eventually come home and retire a Giant. That would be enough for me
You can't go back!

You can't retool by picking up 30-somethings. I hope Tuck returns to the Giants - but only to sign a 1-day contract.
He was versatile and decent - did everything asked.

Boothe looked bad

because of what was playing to the left and right of him....they paid this guy vet min, and then they give 2.5M to Walton who wasn't as good as him?

Boothe was screwed monetarily while he was here....he would have been a good backup for this line......we had injured OLmen, go out there week after week because the backups sitting on their arses sucked.....Boothe would have done the job.....

You don't bring back these players now, you move on.....Tuck will never be the Tuck he once was....Boothe is on the wrong side of 30.....time to start signing players who can play and stay on the field.....
Boothe

Sorry, 19 and they all came week 13.
What is everyone's fascination with

bringing back ex Giants? Boothe was terrible during his final season here. Did you watch any Raiders games last season? Did you even see how Boothe did? He didn't even start for them he was a backup and barely played.
Did they both get younger and better?
JonC : 1/26/2015 9:54 am : link
Nope. They both left for more money than NYG valued them at, turn the page.
Boothe was a good and versatile backup. YOu need guys like that.

But at 32 it's time to move on. He was declining in 2013.

Boothe was a decent player and

letting him go was another NYG Front Office mistake.

But bringing him back probably isn't going to work. The relationship was damaged, and he's not the player he was a few years ago either.

Pass.

Ditto Tuck.
Understand... I said for depth...

Boothe would be better then Brewer. Tuck would provide part time pass rushing badly needed. That's all I'm considering here.
