The secret to Tom Brady's "long"evity

GentleGiant : 1/26/2015 4:42 pm
There's an article in the NY Times today about Tom Brady and it contains a paragraph referring to his body man's unorthodox healing methods that should win an award for unintentional comedy:

Quote:
After the 2006 season, Brady was suffering from pain in his groin. “I had this adductor muscle that was pulling so tight, and it was pulling on the tendon,” Brady says. The team, he says, recommended surgery in the off-season that involved cutting the tendon to relieve pain. This is a common procedure around football, Brady says. Guerrero told him not to do it. He invited Brady to California, where he was living at the time. Guerrero put Brady through workouts designed to “lengthen” and “re-educate” the muscle so the tendon did not have to work as hard; Brady says his pain was gone in a matter of days.

The groin muscle doesn't mean dick. There wasn't even a play on words here or accidental innuendo.

the entire article it sounds like this guy spends more time with Brady than Giselle. Joking aside, the methods he uses are interesting.

is no joke. as chronic as a hammy and can be career threatening
Groin muscle and then workouts is what you're referring to?

I don't know man, my mind didn't really go to any dick joke or gay joke after reading that. I hadn't heard about that particular issue or treatment in football, let alone that it's common throughout the NFL. Plus, it was interesting to me that the preferred treatment was to cut a tendon - something that doesn't seem like it would preferable to a professional athlete - so I reread it to make sure I understood it correctly.
Here's another theory:
