Who is the worst Giant you've ever seen play? Dumb penalties, getting burned always, just sucking. Now I'm far from any type of football guru, but one player that really stood out to me as the worst I've seen was 2009 CC Brown. I just remembered him constantly getting burned, or a crucial personal foul that cost us dearly. I remember him being ultra bad against the Lions that year. And when the Panthers blew us out in the final game at Giants Stadium. Vikings too. Now I've only been a Giants fan since 2005 when I was 12 so maybe there's a guy in the 90s that blew harder but I'll just open up the discussion with that. Fuck CC Brown.

for a guy, who came from The U when they were considered the greatest college football team, he was about the worst Giants player I've seen (not only the worst receiver).
He was a 7th rd pick.
True...but he was also part of a great Miami team, so you would expect a bit more than he was able to produce.
Dave Brown was also awful. He probably contributed to more total losses than CC Brown, but that's more by virtue of position and the number of starts. CC Brown crushed the hopes and dreams of an otherwise talented roster.
Lance Legree was also terrible and hung on for a surprising number of years. Watching him get blown off the LOS on running plays was always depressing.
Man, those guys suxt.
Sorry.
I'd take Brown off the list just for the time he laid out prime time. I'd take Graham off the list for the game he had against Denver when they were undefeated. At least there is one good memory for each of them.
Derek Brown also killed me.
Or some people haven't watched too many Giant games

There are guys on here who were good Giants. Some guys were not very good, but do not belong in the same paragraph as "worst ever".
Jeremy Lincoln and Rocky Thompson are runners up.
The guy might never have been much of a QB, but he had absolutely nothing to work with either.

Ryan Phillips, taken before Jason Taylor.
Ryan Phillips was a DE conversion who didn't quite work out. He was a somewhat below average starting LB on a good defense. How this translates to "worst Giant ever" is beyond me.

I hate how Brown gets shit on. He was never going to be a star, but not only did he have absolutely nothing to work with, but he took such an unbelievable beating week after week. Just pounded every game, and he was tough enough to take it. AND he steamrolled Deion! He deserves to be left alone just for that! It's not his fault we blew a 1st rounder for him.
Virtually no QB could have succeeded given those conditions.

Ha Ha Ha! "The Human False Start Scott Gragg" he was my second thought after CC Brown. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to kick my TV when that fucking village idiot Gragg would go offsides!!
What really sucked was watching Gragg then go to the Niners and somehow become a very solid OT for them. Asshole.
Dorsey Levens was impressive against the Eagles.

LOL, what was the back story on that? I know it has been a BBI meme forever but I don't know where it originated or who said it.
This is what I mean. Pete Mitchell? He never matched his Jax production, but he was fine. Worst Giant ever? Come one people...

It was the headline on the BBI home page after we played the Eagles, and then for whatever reason that page "froze" and was up there for six weeks or something. It became comical considering that Levens was not impressive overall.

Haha. That's good.
I don't remember him being impressive as a Giant.. ever.
And I agree that a lot of these posters haven't watched much GIANTS football or have any understanding of what a really bad player really is. Many of the names mentioned, from Rocky Thompson to Dave Brown to Ron Dayne and even to Matt Dodge were nowhere near as bad as Maddox, CC Brown, or some of the bozos on the team in the 1970s were.

Chris Calloway was his supposed #1 receiver. His other receivers included the likes of Thomas Lewis, Lawrence Dawsey, Arthur Marshall and Omar Douglas. His tight ende were Howard Cross and Aaron Pierce. His running backs were Rodney Hampton's expanding waistline, the perpetually bored Ty Wheatley and Keith Elias. His OL included such stalwarts as the original Human False Start Scott Gragg and Greg Bishop.

Maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't Gragg a solid O-lineman who went on to have some very good years in SF?

Chris - I have always said the same about Dave Brown. I don't think, even under the best of circumstances, he was going to be a star. But, he could have been a decent QB if Reeves and Fassell hadn't ruined him. He played with one of the worst OLs ever seen, an unimiaginitive offense that ran Hampton into the ground and then left Brown with far too many 3rd and longs, he had no WRs and no TE that were consistent threats. He simply never had a chance.
