It's from an article written by Matt Williamson but I find it too subjective. We're 25th based on talent 25 and under but the Pats are 2nd. Let's see how far this team gets without a 37 year old Tom Brady. Meanwhile the Packers and Seahawks are 9th and 12th respectively.
Out of that top 12, 5 didn't make the playoffs including the Browns who are 7th. #1 on the team is Josh Gordon. The article was posted two days ago.
Graziano writing a negative article on the Giants. When are they going to change who writes about the Giants over there at ESPN? Ohm was light years better.
"And they're happy with fourth-rounder Ryan Nassib as a backup quarterback. But he's shown little to indicate he'll be any more than that, and late-rounders Cooper Taylor, Eric Herman and Michael Cox haven't shown much."
What do you expect of a qb who was drafted in the fourth round and sits behind Eli Manning. Cooper Taylor was playing better this pre-season until he got ir'd. And Herman and Cox are still in the league at 6 and 7. Did you expect them to make the pro-bowl?
How often do the Giants have to miss the playoffs before Â
it's okay to not pretend everything about the team is great?
I'm not saying Graziano is amazing (he's not), but there's nothing wrong with that entry or, for the most part, with Williamson's rankings. At least nothing worth getting pissy over. The team does lack talent -- young and otherwise. Bad drafts, pre-2014, led, in part, to that. It's not unfair to point that out even if you, personally, don't want to hear it.
6-10, 7-9 the last 2 years, 16-24 in the last 40 games Â
And people are actually surprised that the talent isn't highly rated? And calling the author (who didn't actually do the survey, just reported on it) biased?
I thought the piece was fair. And Graziano did note that the 2013 and 2014 drafts were much improved.
and 11 of those losses were by more than 20 points. Â
We will know a lot more about this team and the young talent this time next season. Pugh, Hankins, Moore, randle, beckham, richburg, bromley, Wynn, kenard and a few other younger guys have a chance to change a lot of opinions. 2015 is put up or shut up for this franchise in many regards. If they stb they will get hammered and rightfully so. If they win it's gonna be on the backs of a younger roster and all will be good in NYG land.

Graz did say that if they survey was if 23 and under instead of 25 and under that he would expect a higher grade. He did give credit for the 2013 and 2014 drafts.

Agree about the article. I am sure he is trolling this site, this thread.
of all the teams sitting around 9, I think we can absolutely turn things around very quickly. Most bad teams are searching for a QB, we have a 2 time SB MVP, who is just coming off his second best season ever, even as it his first year in a new system.
Eli & OBJ will have a full year in Macadoo's system — OTAs, Minicamps, Camp, etc. -- they were already starting to break records as it was.
Spags running the D alone is worth 2–3 wins in my opinion. We'll win a close one or not blow a few where we have the lead.
We were becoming a difficult team to beat at the end of this year and that was after all the injuries. If we can get some or all of the guys back healthy like: Cruz, Jennings, Schwartz, and Thurmond -- we get instant upgrades at a bunch of critical positions.
While Eric, you are correct that we could use boosts almost all across the board, I figure just 3 solid players (well above average players) in the offseason via draft or free agency at: OT, OG and either (MLB or Safety) - I think you'll see a dramatic improvement in the Giants' play.
I'm very hopeful for next year.
This team has too often tried to outsmart everyone and hit Â
Your up your down. Sometimes things go your way sometimes they don't. The draft assures you of nothing. If you look back in time to great college players who you thought were can't miss talents it's really stunning how many don't cut it.
Last year's draft was a good one no doubt. Hopefully the Giants are trending upwards with another good draft. I think a classic example of draft fortune is Ahmad Bradshaw. Who knew he would be such a pivotal player and catalyst.
I know the Giants have had some bad luck in recent drafts but things have a way turning themselves around.

I'd take this with a grain of salt.

It will be interesting if 4 straight gets anybody fired.Which hasn't happened since the 70's.

Woah!!!! Dillusional!!!!
I never liked Fewell's approach, but they lacked PLAYERS,,,,and the coach was fired because of that.

^^^^ agree
If we had Spags last year we would have won 4 more games
Dallas,Jacksonville seahawks Eagles
All games the defense gave up.
I also miss Ohm Youngmisuk. He was great. Well informed and impartial.
This is unquestionably true, though he may have gotten lucky on this article.
Williams pretty much went backward all year even though I liked the pick at the time. Word still out.
Bennett not on the team.
But Bromley in the 3rd is still the biggest prob for me. Not the player just the round.

Check out his Senior production. He was arguably the second most productive DT after Donald from a pass rushing standpoint.
