I was hoping for mostly 1:00 pm starts. I hadn't considered the Beckham factor. Alas you're probably right, hopefully we won't have to many Sunday and Monday blowouts again.
I'd prefer 16 games on Sunday's starting at 1:00pm
I do not like Sunday Night or Monday Night or Thursday Night. But going into next season Beckham has become must see TV and the NFL and Television are going to exploit it to the max at our expense.
that a star WR would get the NFL to consider moving more of his games to prime time. However, I can't say I remember the Lions getting extra games due to Calvin Johnson.
The Giants were 6 - 10, many of those games with Beckham.
I don't think the league wants to highlight a good player on a bad team. and based on the track record the past few years the Giants don't deserve more night games.
The league is usually a little behind the curve here, and you get more night games after the team becomes good, not in advance of.
I think the Giants get 4 prime time games. Maybe 1 MNF game, 1 Sunday night game and the other two possibly a Thursday and 1 that could be any of the three.
And I think that's plenty, they can always flex games if the Giants are contenders.
The Giants will get more PT games than their bad team grade (until proven otherwise) merits because of their market and their rivalries with "good" teams like Dallas, Philadelphia, and, for this season, NE.
But Dallas and gmen will be one. there will be a Thursday night game. They won't be able to resist giants and pats as a night game and probably a Monday night game.
But if the Giants ate terrible they'll flex Them out of the games later in the season if they need to

Beckham won't have much to do with it.
