So, I had settled on the Vizio 65" M-class at $1298.
Turns out, nobody local to me had it, and I was going to have to Amazon it and wait 1 week for delivery. I went looking for alternatives.
The Sony Bravia KDL60W850B was on my short list, but it was priced at $1198 (down from $1999) and it was 5" smaller than the Vizio. And, nobody had it available either.
So I do a blind walk in to PC Richards to see if they had anything that stood out. They had my Sony, but didn't advertise it on the website or the paper ads, and it was tagged at the full $1789 price
I told him I had been looking for it, and he said it was discontinued. I mentioned the Amazon price, and right off the bat sliced the price to $998. I think I made out pretty well, and I avoided having to buy anything from Best Buy.
Picking up tomorrow. 65" would have been too big for my space anyway.
It seems that way. I just wonder why they don't advertise their full selection on their website. Seems like you'd want to have as big a selection as possible to get people into the stores, but all they advertise is Samsung.
Absolutely incredible TV. One of the best pictures around
