seeing him in the backfield on 3rd down.....he is the type of back we want, who can run the ball, but also catch it out of the backfield.....don't want him carrying the load, just 5-10 rushes, and maybe 5 targets per game....but the big question, as they say, is his health, and how much he is willing to play for....this team has to stay away from guys with health baggage, but he is a talent....for the right price, would chance him in a Giant uniform...
Bush was the most over-hyped player of the last 10 years, IMHO.
However, his speed could be an asset in this offense. I had Jennings pegged as the 3rd down back cause he can catch and pass block. Bush has the break-away speed though.
I don't know here whether we'd investigate him or not. My gut says "no" simply because he really doesn't stay healthy and we already have had enough injury woes.
not sure if it has been discussed on BBI, that he was caught up in the Darren Sharper fiasco, that he gave ecstasy to women at a party where Sharper later raped a drugged girl. He took it seriously enough to deny it.
RE: Perhaps the most over-hyped player coming out of college
Not even close. He's had a decent career. 57 TDs, 9000 yards r/r, 4.3 ypc, 466 receptions, and he still has some years left.
There have been many more over-hyped players coming into the NFL. Vince Young went one pick later. Jamarcus Russell was a #1 overall pic. Charles Rogers was supposed to be what Calvin Johnson turned into.
You knew as soon as some used up plyer is cast off somebody
bush-like RBs in the draft and will be much cheaper too. Have to be judicious with our limited resources in Free Agency. IMO two biggest FA moves would be Oline and Safety.

Johnny Football has to be in the conversation. Talk about hype/actual football ability ratio. At least Reggie has a ring and has shown flashes of what could have been. Remember, he had the anchor know as Kim Kardashian holding him back his first couple years.
Once he let that go, he was a better player, yet Father Time caught up. Same for Kris Humphries who is not a scrub either. He's a solid 10/10 guy who got better as soon as he put the circus behind him.
but at the right price he would be a solid addition to this offense on 3rd down. He is a great receiver out of the backfield and at the right price could contribute with 5-10 touches a game.
id like to see bush in Blue but id rather see us draft Johnson out of Miami....Bush is an excellent receiver out of the backfield and would be great insurance if Jennings went down again. Im all for Bush, now that i think about it.
He'll catch on somewhere as a backup if he accepts lesser money. He isn't a starter.
