Haha, I'm more amazed at how people are "debating" it. I totally understand finding it cool how two people can look at the same picture and see different things. I personally find it cool for sure.
But what the hell is there to debate? Whether or not it is blue and black or white and gold, clearly no matter what, someone is experiencing an optical illusion and (I guess until recently) there was no way to know who is right and wrong. So I don't get why people were passionately defending what they saw. Just enjoy the fun part.

THAT is blue and black. But there's no way it's the same one. The picture even shows that it comes in different colors. The original one is not those colors.
Manipulated and I'm seeing one thing, and my wife sees another. It has switched colors for both of us, but not at the same time. We now see it differently at the same time when it was the same last night. Pretty cool. I thought my daughter had cracked the case with the color inversion or negative view on her phone, but apparently not.
The real color of the dress is black and blue. The only question is what color does the dress look TO YOU in the picture. There is no right or wrong answer. I saw nothing but pale gold and white all day. Now, I see pale gold and pale blue. It's quite a phenom!
This means that this effect can be recreated. Soon there will be movies with scenes that people see in different colors. :)

I can understand it when people say blue if they mean a reallllly light sky blue type color (I see that, too.. but I perceive it as actually being white just in bad lighting)

But the "actual" dress (according to the picture on the website) is like.. Giants or Rangers blue and BLACK. People see those colors when they look at the original picture? I literally see the same thing every single time. It hasn't changed once.
I'm looking at the picture, and it's medium blue and chocolate brown, and it didn't look remotely like that the first dozen or so times I saw it. I mean, it literally looks like a completely different dress now.
