Leonard Nimoy dead

Bold Ruler : Mod : 2/27/2015 12:18 pm
Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.

IT would probably ruin the franchise.
Let's just send him to the Genesis planet

I'll remember him as David Kibner, who was one of the very few doubled people to pass effectively for the original in the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
RIP Mr. Nemoy

I had the pleasure of seeing Leonard playing Teyve in Fiddler on the Roof live at the Cape Cod Melody Tent back in 1971. He was amazing in that role, in his role as Mr. Spock and all his other endeavors. He will be missed! RIP!
He will, and shall always be

Besides acting, directed a few of the Star Trek films and Three Men and a Baby, among others.

And of course sang the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins.

Iconic is a great word. Goodbye, Leonard. Thank you for so many great memories.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or the one.

I will spend a few minutes thinking about his achievements and then go on with my daily routine.

Though personally I'm not sad, I am sure his friends and family are. Acknowledged.

Can't say I'll miss him. I didn't know him and don't ever think about him. Him dying probably won't increase either likelihood.

Thanks for the info.

Perfect example of why people don't need to verbalize every asinine thought that comes into their head

The man died. Have some respect

Seriously, though, I didn't know he directed Three Men and a Baby - the apex of Steve Guttenberg's career!

I did, however, know about The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. Heh.

Unless, your post was in jest, in which case, joke's on me.

Either way, sad news, he certainly played one of the most memorable and enduring characters of our generation
