CRinCA : 2/27/2015 3:02 pm
Mine was a used 1974 Malibu Classic- 4 years old when I got it. Rockin' the Pioneer 8-track and Jensen co-axials. Good times.

Absolute piece of crap. The exterior driver's side door handle didn't work and the interior side passenger's side door handle didn't work. The front bench seat was one way. In on the passenger side and out on the driver's side.

it was my older sisters who inherited it when my grandmother died, but I used to steal it all the time. Grandma had this car for like 15 years and it had 3700 miles on it.

pristine condition.

1973 Plymouth Duster, my friends called it the brown bomber

I was pulled over going 115 miles in this car before I even had a drivers license

hey, when I was a kid my best friend's mom had a station wagon
Greg from LI : 2/27/2015 3:24 pm : link
just like that, only it was a Volare instead of an Aspen.

As for me.....1986 Dodge Caravan, brown with wood trim, also known as the Chick Repellent - excellent for preventing girls from ever going anywhere with you. Technically it was never really mine, it was my mom's old car and they let me drive it for several years.

Looked just like this, except a darker brown and no wire wheels.

First car I bought with my own money was a 1985 Prelude, blue with a gray interior and a sunroof. Loved loved LOVED that car!

Only car I know of with a rim blow horn. Basically, you blew the horn by squeezing the steering wheel with either thumb anywhere on the steering wheel. You did not have to move your hand to blow the horn. I loved that feature. Never saw it again.

Light green and rust. Ugly and I loved it. Floor was rusted out, so it was a Flintstone mobile.

It was no where near as good a condition as this example, but the color and vinyl top are right. Plus, mine had a crappy slant-6, and not a 340ci V8.

a 1967 Olds 4 door olds cutlass supreme, aptly named "The Whore" The year I got it was 1977-it was originally maroon but was decidedly more of a monkey-shit brown by the time I owned it. It's previous owner had installed a hurst 3 speed with faulty linkage that used to pop out. I used to have to crawl under the car to pop the linkage in place when I needed to go in reverse.

The floorboards were rotted under the drivers side. Once, the padding from the carpet contacted the exhaust pipes and flames started shooting up between my legs as I was driving.

Good times.

My idiot dad took my $ without my permission and bought a car under my name in the summer of 2004. I think I got my license way too early and used the money I was spending on insurance, I worked that summer and could've gotten a better car.

Lol, I sold it to my neighbor in 2008 and it got flooded in Sandy. Too bad my dad didn't.

My aunt Liz had a '74 Duster, if I remember correctly. My one grandfather had an early '70s LTD like this one:

Grandma had a 1982 (I think) Cutlass Supreme.

My other grandfather had a classic Grandpamobile, the Caprice Classic

Bought it in nice factory condition for $500 from my aunt. Had 29k on it. 6 months of my own insurance thru State Farm was $500 also.

It eventually sported a 302. Pic is similar:

Wasn't that the Pinto that often burst into flame if rear-ended? I think the gas tank was literally in front of the rear bumper or something if I recall correctly.

Greg, my grandpa had a grandpa mobile too. '77 Chevy Impala. Monster.

My great Aunt had a '72 Oldsmobile 442. A beast in black and gold. She loved to see jaws drop when they saw her driving a muscle car.

Note: pic is not of my actual car but it was this same color pattern. Of course, by the time my neighbor sold it to me in 1986, there were significantly more rust "highlights". I think it got about 4 gallons to the mile. Kick-ass AC Delco radio. We called the old girl the USS Nimitz.

Beautiful, yes, but constant work. Had to synchronize the carbs once a week, and It had the worst transmission ever. The "lever=type" shocks simulated the ride of a buckboard, and the side curtains were England's nod to trying to keep out NE PA winters.

In the Spring, Summer, and Fall however, one of the best pussy-mobiles ever!

My "Old 55." Good old American iron. Two-door hardtop. baby blue and white. About 8 mpg and sometimes I had to prop open the carb cover with a screw driver to get it to start. Loved that car.
