Boyle is absolutely fucking horrid. At this point I'd rather see him gone than Glass. I know. I know.

And I'm sorry but McD had not looked good on the defensive end. He is consistently muscled off the puck. He seems to play very tentative in the defensive zone. Something we haven't seen. Ever. Not good.

But 10-2-2 and 2pts back with 3 at hand on the Isles ain't a bad place to be. Just hope to God Sather doesn't do anything drastic after this loss.

Brian Boyle back in the # 22 jersey and playing on the backline too for that matter! Dan Boyle's play is indefensible, literally!

Boyle has been unfairly criticized.

The most pathetic effort I've seen from them this year. They didn't even wake up till there were 7 minutes left. Then 4 minutes later they went back to sleep.

He was a shitty signing. He's not worth his deal and he can't skate.

Has not been a good signing, and I am not happy he has a 2 year deal at all, he really stinks at times and has made too many mistakes. More money Sather wasted, he wasted money on Glass also. I understand the thinking and signing, but looking back this is not a good signing, and he has fucked up this trade deadline also, something he is real good at. If we added Vermette and lost Zucc, that would have been OK, but that can not happen and if he does what I think he will do, he is a real shitbag. He fucked up the St. Louis deal, look what we paid for him! Unreal. Only we get hosed if we add and get hosed if we subtract. He has been very good at the draft, and off season deals, his mid season deals have been horrible.

Zeal to get a tough guy has been a joke, he has fucked that up too.

Has been bad, he has flashed at times, but overall has been horrible.

I know who you're referring to B and you're right, he's fucking awful and what's more is, he was brought in to captain our PP where he's proven to be a liability there too. Boyle is a liability because he's tasked with PP duties and defense. He sucks at both. And by sucks I mean he's FUCKING ANAL LEAKAGE!

The power play has moved the puck significantly better on the PP with him on it than it did last year.

He struggles getting the puck up ice, as has literally every defender on this team (McDonagh has been worse than he has historically - Stralman was incredible at this).

I think he's hampered by Moore. He doesn't suck - That's overreactionary silliness.

I do miss Stralman, though.

great PP QB but more than 10 years after Leetch and we're still looking for someone to fill that role. And for those who look at Boyle's +\- and say he isn't a liability, well, you probably use the same statistical argument against other players or is it CORSI only? Bottom line is, he was brought in to captain the PP, and if he's not performing well or producing there he's not the player the FO intended to sign.

Sather has been doing the Boyle dance for years and now he's here ...5 years too late IMO.

Let's all just watch closely down the stretch in these meaningful and tightly contested games to see what #22 yields. Then we should have a very goid idea of what we'll be looking at come playoff time.

I don't think he's made a significant difference. Certainly not one worth his price tag. And it seems like an awful lot of his shots are blocked or never get through.

He's not the worst player in the world but I think it was a poor allocation of resources. Next year will be even worse.

Boyle consistently loses the puck, gives it away weakly in the defensive end, plays soft on the boards, is a liability on the blue line and cannot fucking skate.

He's the weakest link on the backend. Sorry but it's true.

They aren't going to dominate every game. This is the kind of game that Lundqvist would have kept them in and given them a shot at the end.

Yeah, it sucks to lose to the Flyers (which they havent done much of lately) but a strong showing and win against Nashville (who has last 2 straight for the first time this year) and this game will be long forgotten.

I still can't believe they lost the game on a shorthanded goal by Michael fucking Del Zotto.

Girardi is a great PKer, responsible in his own zone, etc. But a guy like Stralman excelled at pushing the puck out of our zone, driving possession - all things that are more effective at winning games than what Girardi does.

Girardi shouldn't be a top pairing defenseman. I think the things Girardi does well are overrated.

I feel like I'm constantly bashing him - I do like him and think he's a better player than what advanced stats credit him for.

He is just a long line of players Tortorella damn near ruined. Del Zotto had a ton of talent when he came up. One little mistake he was in Tort's dog house. Same with Dubinsky. Look at how he jerked Kreider around. Anisimov is another who comes to mind. He also did a number on Brian Boyle.

I have watched a lot of Flyers games this year and have paid close attention to the play of Del Zotto. If Sather really wants to add to this team's defense Del Zotto would be a major addition and up grade over Dan Boyle. He's fast, decisive and is not afraid to get involved offensively. He would be the perfect fit for the Rangers and has been outstanding on the power play.

Del Zotto nearly ruined himself with his off ice issues more than Torts did.

And AV did the same shit to Kreider that Torts did.
