Isles look to sweep the season series against the Canes (sorry, JiC). Canes won't be pushovers having beaten the Caps, 3-0 yesterday in Washington.
However, Canes D is depleated after moving Tim Gleason to Washington for old Isles pal Jack Hillen. On the whole, Carolina only has 3 players this season who are in plus territory as to +/-. And now down Isles killer Jiri Tlusty as well as D Andrej Sekera, the Islanders really need to put the smack down tonight.
CJ gets the start tonight, and Capuano favorite Brian Strait replaces Viz. All other skaters remain the same.

Donovan has been inconsistent too when he has played and the other issue is that when he plays his off side he is lost which limits who he can sub for

Not enough. If Visnovsky is incapable of playing everyday then the Islanders need to upgrade over Strait because no team who wants to win has Strait anywhere near the starting line-up in the playoffs

I agree.. but I can see them eventually bringing Pulock up now that he's healthy.
Nobody is asking for a big deal. Some team out there has to have a DMan available that can be an upgrade on the 3rd pairing. And if not, then Reinhart or Pulock have to be given the chance. Griffin looked decent enough on his 2nd time up to play over shitty strait. Enough is enough with that guy.
Nobody thinks this team needs any top player but adding some depth should be looked into. Stewart from Buffalo should be asked about. They better let us know the timetables on Casey and Kyle if they dont make any moves.
Yes, while a move to help the third pair defense wouldn't cost a ton, who is to say Capuano would even play that guy. Strait gate is now a full blown FBI (Fandom Bureau of Islanders) investigation.
Also, Garth with a pressure filled trade to decide on, is still a scary thought to me.
