He just had a big contract, he is making big money this year. Money will always be out there for athletic big men...if a contender comes calling he is going to the contender before the Knicks regardless of playing time...
smart/slow versus dumb/athletic, Phil did win a couple of titles with Andrew Bynum. Now we all know McGee is no Andrew Bynum but I'm sure Phil would be willing to put up with the mental lapses for a player who shows that he is willing to learn.
