I'm more worried on the landing, because the pilot's got to set that sucker down hard just beyond the water's edge (with the runway built out into the bay) in order to have enough strip to brake, esp. the larger aircraft. In poor visibility, windy conditions, not for the faint. Saving grace is that at least with Flushing Bay there are no buildings to dodge. That and basically just one active runway.
it hit home how serious this was. It could have ended far worse. Donnell was travelling to sign the free agent tender contract. Let's all be glad he's safe.
