R1P9 DE RANDY GREGORY NEBRASKA - This was really just a value pick for me. I'm not convinced Gregory can play 4-3 RDE but he was the best DE/pass rusher on the board and I took him thinking Spags would maybe play him a SLB in the 4-3 under set with Kennard at WLB. At the very list it creates defensive versatility with the possibility he is a 4-3 RDE. I would prefer Beasley as I am becoming more convinced he can play RDE in a 4-3, but he went a #2 in this draft.
R2P8 RB TEVIN COLEMAN INDIANA - could be the third best RB in the draft. A complete player who has speed and power and good hands.
R3P10 DE PRESTON SMITH MISSISSIPPI STATE - This guys measureables are just too good to pass up in my opinion. He reminds me of Tuck and I think he has room to improve.
R4P9 WR TYLER LOCKETT KANSAS STATEm - Best slot WR in the draft in my view. Would contribute right away, returns kicks, and is insurance for Cruz.
R5P8 OT ROB HAVENSTEIN WISCONSIN - The negative is he is strictly a RT, but he has good technique and is powerful. Could start after 2-3 years of experience and could be a powerful run blocker in the league.
R6P10 C SHAQUILLE MASON GEORGIA TECH - He's more than a OC. He gets good leverage, moves well, and could play OG as well as OC in the league.
R7P9 S SAM CARTER TCU - A real sleeper pick. An in the box safety who was very productive in college.
R7P28 CB CODY RIGGS NOTRE DAME - Regarded as a combine snub. Was ND's most consistent DB, has good feet, and experience at both safety and CB.
The projections I see on Humphries are all over the map. I've seen Top 10 through round 4. Crazy
