& I hate flying to begin with. Now I got Donnell & Ford both having plane scares in less than 12 hours. It looks like I'll be going to the airport bar.
"The plane that Quinn flies is a DeHavilland Beaver. Star Harrison Ford not only owned a DeHaviland Beaver, but he also flew the one in the movie. He had to go through several certifications for the insurance company to allow him not only to fly, but to also fly with the rest of the cast in the plane. "
This is what happens when you try to make the Kessel Run in
could be a simple mechanical issue...it's an old plane. Glad he's safe I've always been a fan. The Fugitive is one of the best adventure suspense films ever.
but instead about the idea of flying "vintage" aircraft in general. They are OLD and in many instances have parts that are failing or have failed. They are not up to standards. Flying them puts the general public at risk. It is fortunate that in this instance he crashed onto a golf course vs into a house killing someone else.

So much wrong with this post. All aircraft are required to be inspected annually by certified mechanics and signed off as safe. This could happen to a "new" airplane also.
Sounds like he'll be okay.
She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself.
And fess up, you'd be heading to the airport bar regardless, a few shots of Single Malt, straight up. Like Indiana, maybe.

CHP, Haha. You're second paragraph is spot on.
I didn't have same email account from '06 when I initially joined so I decided to get a new handle. That damn hacker made me a 1/15er.
Safe travel. Never been to Dublin.

It's his hobby.
I don't get driving your own car. He's got money to rent a limo with a professional driver...
