is to attempt to sign the guy, while he is in the building, correct? If the player leaves without a contract....it becomes unlikely for them to sign....would you agree?

Would have made sense for #AZCardinals MT @vxmcclure23: Wouldn't be surprised if Falcons and Sean Weatherspoon agree to contract soon

I think so...I also think the 3-day start period is different too...I assume the reasoning is that they knew everyone was cheating anyways...not sure how this fixes that...they'll just cheat earlier.
Andy...yes.
The 3 day start period has been going on since 2013
It started at Midnight on Fri night/Sat morning in 2013, and they moved it to noon on Saturday for 2014 so people wouldn't have to be up all night. Not sure why they would have moved it another 4 hours.
and when the guy is visiting.
Having 1st visits I think can be such a disadvantage....especially if the player wants to really explore the market. I would not have McCourty in tomorrow.
It allows everyone to "cheat". There is no advantage to talking to someone "early" because everyone has time to talk to everyone before the signings can begin. Evens the field.
@RosenhausSports says on @JoeRoseShow that #Dolphins, #Chiefs, #Browns and #Texans are all among the options for WR Brian Hartline.
Hartline should take a hint from what happened to Welker a couple of years ago...the market was way below what he and his agents expected it to be for a slot WR with some tread on the tires. Hartline needs to pick a team now before UFA period begins, or he's going to wind up with far fewer options and less money, IMO.

TE Niles Paul resigns with Redskins, a three-year deal that can earn him up to just under $10 million, per source.
I posted this a few weeks ago, but it's worth a re-post as it's a very informative read. This is Geoff Schwartz's account of his free agency experience, and of particular note the Giants striking almost immediately when they could start calling players. This is a good indication of what we should expect from the front office for this 2015 round. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1996081-geoff-schwartz-shares-his-firsthand-view-of-the-nfl-free-agency-process - ( New Window )
Schwartz was a free agent for 4 years running? And had been coming off injuries three years straight? And his team, the Chiefs, weren't interested in keeping him? And so the Giants threw big bucks at him, and he ends up not playing the first 14 games for the Giants because .... of injury? And Giants are relying upon him to upgrade their OL? Sounds like a really SOLID plan.
I love Reese as a GM , but his biggest blind spot to me
is how he views injury prone players. It almost seems to me that he sees injury as 100% happenstance and not due to body type or the way a player plays.
I really would like to see him be more cautious moving forward with players with significant injury histories both in draft and FA.
Sure we will start seeing a lot of stuff like this.

As @Tim_McManus said, #Colts are having Todd Herremans in for a visit today
Sure we will start seeing a lot of stuff like this.
No we won't because FAs can't visit teams until Tuesday at 4pm.
Herremans was cut so he can go on visits.

Yaj...you're right but should at least see some speculation
