Like it or not, the Giants clearly have a size preference when it comes to DEs. Maybe why they're not as high on the undersized pass rush prospects in this draft.
Saints totally destroyed their cap and their window is closed so they have to rebuild. He's a decent DE but at a high salary (almost $7 million cap hit) and hits FA next season. He's played as a 3-4 DE in New Orleans but could be better suited in the 4-3
to not get excited about this but he would be a huge upgrade.
It would be a fantastic deal if we could trade him for a #3 and extend him so the $7MM cap hit is like a $4.5MM cap hit for this year as we'll have crazy cap room going forward
Guys, if we could trade him for a #3 don't you think 1/2 the NFL would be involved in this trade? It's going to be something substantial if it were too happen.

thought he was a good fit comming out of college. He reminded me of a Tuck type player. LDE with the ability to move inside to DT on passing downs. Saints are looking to cut salary, makes sense to me.

Right now the Saints would take anyone cheap. Only half kidding. Randle makes a little bit of sense, but I'm not so sure the Giants are willing to do that with Cruz being such a question mark. Too bad the Giants have a TE to trade to the Saints.
Good player, but a high draft pick for a possible one year rental? No thanks. Only really makes sense if they agree to a deal with him as part of the trade.
Jordan is a guy you can try to build a D around. My guess is the Giants called to inquire and were told they'd have depart with at least a second rounder this year, if not future picks in addition to that. The sharks smell blood in the water. I'm sure the Saints are fielding calls from several teams regarding different players.

Would be well worth the #40 pick. He would play the tuck role in the 4 aces package. He is 6-4 280 and quite capable of lining up at the dt position,in that package.
before the trade is completed he might be worth #40. There should be some nice players at 40 who are ready to contribute immediately...plenty of OGs, perhaps players like DE Preston Smith or DT Carl Davis, some good WRs, perhaps a MLB like McKinney, etc.
in place, I would not give any picks really. Nothing in the first four rounds which makes this a non starter in my mind. We are rebuilding. A one year rental does what for us exactly at the expense of some young player that we can build on.
Now if there is a long term/multi yr deal, then absolutely deal the 40th pick.
He's a really good player.
That is fabulous, but wasn't it "Say 'What' Again" in the movie?

Ha..I almost spit out my water. Funny

LOL!
And bring the heat with guys he used to coach. This one would appear to be a Spags recommended move, if it happens.
28 Sacks/162 tackles/5 forced fumbles/13 pass defenses over the last 3 seasons combined.
IMO he's worth our #40 pick.

we could potentially get the Saints 1st rounder next year?
7.5 sacks in 16 last year. Cant fetch too much.
Just signed Dwayne Harris...another WR.
Makes sense, especially if Giants go WR in 1st round.
Seeing as 22 third round picks are after ours...
However... Who said it was for a #3?
Thoughts?

grrr, just when I got my hopes up
That may be what they're hashing out now.
I have no opinion about Cameron's value. Just wondering what you think.

hmmmm, I think I would
Talks for Giants and Saints trading for Cam Jordan have stalled. Looks like it's dead. #NYGiants #NYG #Giants

That means, he's close to becoming a Giant.

to swap first-rounders with New Orleans? Cameron Jordan + #13 overall for #9 overall?

Yes. But no way NO would make that trade.
Insurance vs JPP walking in '16.
