An Iron Man-Inspired Bionic Arm, that is.

Quote:
The line where Robert Downey Jr. ends and Tony Stark begins continues to blur as the Iron Man star posted a most heart-warming video on his Facebook page today.

In the video, which you can watch below, Downey meets a young boy named Alex Pring who was born with a partially developed right arm, and helps gift him a bionic arm developed by Limbitless Solutions and carried out by Microsoft’s The Collective Project. Headed up by Albert Manero, Limbitless Solutions aims to build affordable, bionic, 3D-printed arms...

their life around ... at least in terms of a celebrity. Too many times you see a person just spiral out of control where it just ends horribly.

With respect to the child. It is priceless.

I have a similar story. My neice had a birthday and she loved Lady Gaga. Her mother got a Lady Gaga impersonator. Well, we were all wondering where she was. We finally got in touch with her after the party started and she told us she couldn't make it. Everybody was so pissed and nobody wanted to tell my niece that she wasn't coming. I had a great idea. My wife can sing very well but she doesn't like performing in front of people. She likes to sing in a church for a friend's wedding or even a funeral. So, I gave her a little guilt trip and she agreed to do it. We ran to Party City and picked up some crazy shit for her to wear like a wig, clothes, glasses, etc. She wound up singing two Lady Gaga songs. The entire place loved it. Eventually my niece realized it was my wife and she didn't even care because she was having such a great time. That was amazing.

She is really talented but it is weird. She's not embarrassed so much as it is that she feels like she is showing off. People always ask her to sing but she doesn't like that. Her family and I try to get her to sing as much as possible but it is difficult because she can't overcome her own restraints. I always try to encourage her to do it because when she actually does it she feels good about herself. The fact that she did that for my niece was awesome. We were only together for a couple of years at that point so she didn't know my family well.

Well said and very true. This is one way to live a more fulfilling and impactful life, however it is hard.

Good point. I really disliked Downey for years because of his antics and behaviors (and resented that he kept getting away with it) but he seems to have found a way now that brings him peace and joy while sharing the same with others. Good for him.
