Crazy that their 3rd starter right now hasn't pitched 100 innings since 2010 and they can drop $62.5 mil on a 29 year old 2B.
The Sox spent $130+ on two Cubans, one of whom likely opens the season in High A and the other who might open on the bench of the DL. Meanwhile they are trotting out Clay Buchholz as their ace. I wanted the Yankees to get Moncada but values and priorities are seriously skewed right now for some of these teams.

Exactly
Boston fans perfected the art, starting with your ownership group.
I thought those injury reports were bogus, started by his former agent. I thought all of his medicals checked out fine with multiple teams.

Dodgers found a very small UCL tear and don't expect him to need TJ or for it to effect his throwing (they like him at 3b). If he does need TJ at some point they get him for year 7 at 1 million. The deal is pretty crazy but the TJ/extra year at 1 million is a non-issue. I can't recall a single "regular" whose career was effected by TJ. Luis Gonzalez had TJ in August and was ready for opening day.
Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports that the Dodgers are among the teams interested in Cuban right-hander Yadier Alvarez.
Alvarez has officially petitioned Major League Baseball for free agency, but has yet to be declared eligible. He's hoping to gain that clearance and be able to sign prior to July 2. The Nationals, Rangers and Giants are also believed to have interest in the 18-year-old hurler.

LA has a large Spanish speaking population so they are signing every available Cuban?
